Marvin Harrison Jr., has had a Kyle Pitts-ian start to his NFL career in terms of fantasy football expectations versus impact. Harrison has played in just 10 games so far this season due to injury. So, fantasy football managers and Arizona Cardinals fans are currently wondering when Harrison will return and be back on the playing field. This Harrison injury update will look at if he will or won’t play this week against the Falcons, and will look at the wide receiver’s fantasy stock. We’ll also take a glance at Cardinals betting odds as the season winds down.
⏳ When will Marvin Harrison return and be back with Cardinals?
Harrison is currently dealing with a heel injury. Cardinals head coach Jonathan Gannon has already said that he expects Harrison to return this season.
Arizona has not placed Harrison on injured reserve either, which lends to the notion that we have not seen the last of Harrison in the 2025-26 NFL season. Fantasy football roster managers should certainly keep an eye on the Cardinals’ mid-week practice report this week to see if Harrison will play or not.
Here is a look at Arizona’s schedule down the stretch of the season.
- Week 16 Sunday, Dec. 21: Atlanta Falcons at Arizona Cardinals
- Week 17 Sunday, Dec. 28: Arizona Cardinals at Cincinnati Bengals
- Week 18 Saturday, Jan. 3 or Sunday, Jan. 4: Arizona Cardinals at LA Rams
❓ Will Marvin Harrison play this week against the Falcons?
The Cardinals' last update on Harrison came on Dec. 12 when Gannon simply said that Harrison was “doing a lot better.”
Recovery from heel injuries vary, and the Cardinals have not been direct with what type of heel injury Harrison is dealing with. A bruised heel takes around 1-3 weeks to recover from. If the bone is bruised, however, it can take up to six weeks to recover from.
One would think that the Cardinals would simply shut Harrison down for the season if the bone was bruised. The Cardinals are 3-11 on the season and will miss the playoffs. There is no reason to bring their young receiver back this season unless he is totally healthy.
Harrison injured his heel in a Nov. 30 game against the Buccaneers. So, he’s been out for 15 days thus far. Going on the premise that this is a bruise, one would think that the Cardinals would wait at least three full weeks to bring their receiver back.
I project that the chances of him playing this week against the Falcons are 40-60. Forty percent yes (he will play), and sixty percent no (he won’t play).
🏈 Marvin Harrison fantasy football stock
Harrison is owned in 95% of Yahoo! fantasy football leagues. The second-year WR went in the third or fourth round of most 12-team PPR fantasy drafts this past summer. Harrison does not have a 100-plus yard receiving day to his name this season, although he’s come close twice in 2025-26. He had a four-catch, 98-yard day against the Titans on Oct. 5, and a seven-catch, 96-yard day against the Cowboys on Nov. 3.
For the season, Harrison has 40 catches for 594 yards and four touchdowns. In his rookie NFL campaign, the former Ohio State star posted 62 catches for 885 yards and eight touchdowns.
🔴 Cardinals betting odds
The Cardinals are off the board when it comes to Super Bowl odds and NFL Playoff odds. Of course, you can still bet Arizona game-to-game, and NFL props are already available for this week’s game between the Cardinals and Falcons.
The best NFL betting sites also have NFL draft markets now available, as Arizona is set to have one of the top picks.
