Giants vs. Dolphins Prediction, Picks & Best Bets: NFL Preseason Week 2 Odds

The Giants are well-positioned to win a low-scoring game over the inexperienced Dolphins, and I break down why in my Giants vs. Dolphins prediction.

After a joint-practice brawl on Thursday, my best Giants vs. Dolphins prediction for Saturday's 4 p.m. ET game focuses on the Dolphins' lack of depth against a Giants team with many experienced backups. While the Dolphins' starting offense played well in the first week of the preseason, once the backups entered, the team was inept.

The Giants are a 3.5-point betting favorite ahead of the game at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Fla. The contest will air on NFL Network and stream on NFL+.

💰 Pick ⚖️ Units 🧠 Why I bet this
Giants -3.5 (-108 via DraftKings) 1u → 0.93u The Dolphins' have no depth beyond their starters, while the Giants have plenty of experienced backups.
Under 36.5 (-115 via DraftKings) 1.5u → 1.3u Neither offense did much right in Week 1, and the Dolphins' offense was particularly bad.

💰 Giants vs. Dolphins best bet

Under 36.5 (-115)

With Malik Willis and De'Von Achane on the field in the preseason opener, the Dolphins put together a 14-play, 93-yard drive. However, after that drive, the Dolphins didn't score again, finishing with just 133 yards and three turnovers.

I expect the Dolphins to struggle against a Giants' defense that held the Vikings to just 13 points in Week 1. But the Giants' offense isn't really much better than Miami's. Jameis Winston was 8-of-9 for 89 yards in his preseason debut, but the Giants only scored three points in drives started by him.

Score prediction: Giants 17 Dolphins 10

🚀 Giants vs. Dolphins same-game parlay

Many expect the Dolphins to be one of the worst teams in the NFL this season, and the first week of the preseason showed just how little depth they have. While the Giants only managed 10 points in their first game, the offense has more weapons on their second and third team, which is why I like them to ultimately win a really low-scoring game by at least a touchdown.

If Willis only plays one drive this week, I could see the Dolphins getting shut out.

💡 How I'm betting Giants vs. Dolphins: NFL preseason strategy

Follow all of our NFL analysis and betting advice for the 2026 NFL season.

I don't like what I saw from the Dolphins' offense in the first week of the preseason. Because of that, I'm willing to risk a little more than usual on a preseason game. The Giants' defense was excellent in Week 1, and with how bad the Dolphins' offense looked, I'll wager 1.5 units on the Under. I'm also backing the Giants to cover for one unit, because at the end of the day, they have the more experienced backups at key positions.

Unsurprisingly, heat could impact this matchup, as the feels-like temperature is expected to reach as high as 98 degrees around kickoff. There's also a 31% chance of thunderstorms during the first half, something that is always a threat this time of year in the Miami area. Still, a 31% chance of storms isn't much, so right now, it looks like this game will be mostly unaffected by precipitation.
