Playoff contenders don’t start 0-3 in the NFL, so that means one of two things must be true. Either the Bengals aren’t playoff contenders and don't deserve to be listed among the top 10 in the Super Bowl odds. Or they’re about to handle their business on MNF.

Our Commanders vs. Bengals MNF parlay based on the best Monday Night Football odds anticipates the latter. Backs against the wall, we foresee the Bengals responding emphatically to keep their season from going completely off the rails.

Mike Spector agrees in his Commanders vs. Bengals prediction, and he also anticipates a strong performance from the team's star signal-caller in his Joe Burrow MNF player props.

Bengals -7.5 (-105) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

After starting 0-2, Cincinnati is simply due for positive regression on Monday night.

The Commanders earned their lone win when their kicker went 7-for-7 on field-goal attempts. Settling for field goals won’t get it done against a motivated Joe Burrow.

Though they left Paycor Stadium with their tails between their legs after a season-opening loss to the New England Patriots, the Bengals played well in their Week 2 defeat to the Chiefs but couldn't prevail over the two-time defending champions.

Risk of a backdoor cover?

Considering Jayden Daniels’ explosiveness, this is a massive number that could be susceptible to the backdoor treatment.

But I don’t view the Bengals as one-dimensional threats in this game. Knowing what’s at stake, the Bengals will be sharp on both sides of the ball Monday.

The Bengals are -7.5 with -105 odds across our best sports betting apps. We like the Cincinnati spread as a four-star recommendation up to -8.5.

Daniels Under 196.5 passing yards (-117) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Rookie Jayden Daniels has made his mark on games with his legs over his first two starts, tallying 132 rushing yards. But when throwing the ball he’s avoided mistakes while producing only modestly.

Not cleared for takeoff

Daniels has cleared a 200-yard passing line in one of his two games as a professional, but doing it against Cincinnati could prove particularly tricky.

The Bengals are coming off an impressive performance against Patrick Mahomes when they held him to 151 passing yards. Cincinnati boasts the NFL's top pass defense so far, allowing just 128.5 yards per game.

I envision another solid outing for Daniels on the ground, but I don’t see him doing much with his arm against this Cincy secondary. Though lines are constantly shifting Monday morning, BetMGM and Caesars list Daniels' passing prop at 196.5 yards. Meanwhile, DraftKings has bumped its prop to 197.5 yards.

FanDuel still sits at 195.5, but the number seems to be moving in our favor across most of the best sportsbooks.

Phil Wood also thinks Daniels will struggle in his Commanders vs. Bengals player props.

Burrow Over 263.5 passing yards (-106) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Washington has been weaker against the pass than the run, allowing 227.5 passing yards per game (24th in NFL). I don’t trust the running back tandem of Zack Moss and Chase Brown to pace the offense anyway.

Since I’m predicting a strong day from the Bengals in general, let’s put it on Joe Burrow’s arm in an appealing matchup.

Full arsenal restored

After dealing with a hamstring injury for the first two weeks, Tee Higgins is expected to be good to go for MNF, according to Bengals coach Zac Taylor.

That should make a difference for the Cincinnati quarterback as Burrow chases down a passing total he hasn’t reached yet this season.

Though Burrow's passing line at Caesars (263.5 yards) is tougher to attain than the 261.5-yard line we’re getting through FanDuel, the overall odds at Caesars are borderline legendary.

Caesars lists the total SGP odds at +850, far and away more profitable than our other best sports betting sites on the same parlay. At +525, DraftKings is the runner-up on odds value.

A winning $10 wager on this parlay at Caesars would profit $85.00.
