As Week 14 kicks off, Houston Texans' rookie quarterback C.J. Stroud stands atop all NFL passers, boasting a remarkable 3,540 yards passing. His recent track record is impressive, with four out of five starts crossing the 300-yard mark. Notably, his ratio of 20 touchdowns to just five interceptions underlines both his prolific passing skills and astute decision-making on the field. He's easily the front-runner for the Offensive Rookie of the Year Award, and Stroud is in contention to be the NFL MVP too.

Stroud will face a tough assignment on Sunday when he battles a New York Jets defense that is allowing just 176.6 passing yards per game. How will fair against the best defense he’s faced this season?

CJ Stroud Under 223.5 passing yards (-114 via FanDuel) ⭐⭐⭐

Stroud has consistently passed for a minimum of 240 yards in 10 out of 12 games this season. Yet, he faced challenges against the Carolina Panthers and the New Orleans Saints earlier in the year. Both teams boast top-seven defenses in terms of passing yards allowed per game, contributing to his struggles in those matchups.

Besides those two games, Stroud has faced positive matchups every time he’s stepped on the field. That won’t be the case on Sunday. For all the problems the Jets have, their secondary is not one of them. After Tank Dell’s injury, Stroud will be down a key weapon in a game where he can’t afford to be without options.

All of our top NFL prop betting sites, except for FanDuel, offer this line at 217.5. While the price for the Under at bet265 is -110, with how Stroud has been throwing the ball, taking the highest number available is best. The price at FanDuel isn’t much worse than bet365, so there isn’t much value in taking Under 217.5 instead of 223.5.

CJ Stroud Over 1.5 passing touchdowns (+162 via FanDuel) ⭐⭐⭐

FanDuel is offering a slightly better price than the +160 being offered by bet365 right now. Each of our best NFL prop betting sites has the price for this prop listed at +140 or higher, and rightfully so. However, it’s worth taking a risk on Stroud in this game because of what he’s accomplished this season.

Stroud has thrown at least one touchdown in all but two games this season. While he’s only thrown more than two in one contest, he’s thrown at least two in six games. The Jets have a great pass defense, but they allow more than one touchdown pass per game this season.

Though the Jets have been terrible offensively, their defense will do enough to keep this one close. Because of that, Stroud will be throwing late in the game and may even need a game-winning drive late. For this price, the Over is one of the most valuable bets of this game.

CJ Stroud Over 0.5 interceptions (+130 via bet365) ⭐⭐⭐

At this price, the over is the only way to go. The Jets’ defense has been excellent at forcing turnovers this season. They’re averaging 1.6 takeaways per game this year. Though Stroud has been great at taking care of the ball, he has made some mistakes of late.

Four of Stroud’s five interceptions have come in his last four games. He did manage to escape his game with the Denver Broncos last weekend without an interception, but in a game where he will likely throw the ball close to 30 times, he’s bound to make at least one error against a defense known for forcing them.

The price for this prop varies. FanDuel offers the worst price at +116, while bet365 offers +130. Considering Stroud's matchup, getting this at +100 or better provides great value. Therefore, don’t hesitate to take this if the price drops before kickoff.
