The Los Angeles Chargers need to take care of business Monday to cement their spot in the playoffs, but the Indianapolis Colts have a couple of offensive skill players to bank on in a potential negative game script. Here are our top Chargers vs. Colts SGP picks.

The Colts (4-9-1) are coming off the most embarrassing loss in NFL history. Another quarterback change is on the way for Indy, as Nick Foles is slated to start Monday night. After everything went their way in the rest of the AFC playoff picture this weekend, the Chargers (8-6) can clinch a playoff berth with a road win on Monday.

Though the Los Angeles offense still hasn’t seemed to reach its peak, we are looking to lock in a parlay that presumes a good night for Justin Herbert and Co., while establishing the specific way in which the Colts may look to attack.

SGP Predictions for Chargers vs. Colts

Chargers -3.5 (-115) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Foles’ short-passing tendencies should keep Indy’s offense somewhat competent on Monday, but a Colts team that has allowed 93 points over the past two weeks is going to struggle to contain Herbert. Indianapolis allowed 33-plus points in both of its last two second halves. A team that can’t finish with dignity isn’t one to which you want to entrust your wager.

The Chargers are 5-2 ATS in road games this season, ranking tied for third in the NFL in road cover rate. Though they would have covered a 3.5-point spread only once in their past 10 games, the schedule has been pretty tough. The SGP options at DraftKings and FanDuel both list the Chargers at -3.5 with slightly inflated -115 odds.

Michael Pittman Over 62.5 receiving yards (-110) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

The Colts have schemed Pittman more into the short passing game by necessity this season. He caught 10 passes in Week 15, marking the 10th time this season that he has hauled in five or more receptions. Foles won’t be the recipe to suddenly get the deep passing game cooking for Pittman, but he is a veteran who knows his bread needs to be buttered by the team’s top receiving threat.

Pittman has hit 60 or more receiving yards in three of his last four games, and should be peppered with targets on Monday. FanDuel lists the line at 62.5 yards with standard -110 odds. DraftKings only allows alternate receiving totals in same-game parlays. The most comparable DraftKings line is 59.5 yards with -130 odds on the Over. Though the total is three yards lower, the 20-cent drop in the odds is not worthwhile.

Deon Jackson Over 10.5 receiving yards (-110) ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Jackson’s props for Monday Night Football strike me as the most favorable of the entire player prop slate. His rushing total is set at FanDuel at just 31.5 yards, which seems pretty attainable given the weakness of the Chargers’ run defense.

Jackson is the better pass-catcher than Zack Moss, heading into a projected negative game script Monday. Filling in for Jonathan Taylor on Oct. 16, Jackson hauled in a whopping 10 receptions. We’re not asking for another 10 catches from Jackson on Monday with this prop — he merely needs to beat 10 yards through the air.

With a full week to prepare knowing that Taylor won’t be part of the game plan, I expect to see at least as much Jackson as Moss against Los Angeles, which isn’t how the sportsbook lines have it pegged.
