The first time these two teams met, the Arizona Wildcats defeated the UCLA Bruins 58-52 in Tucson. Here are the best Arizona vs. UCLA college basketball picks based on the top NCAAB odds.

When these two teams met back at the end of January, the Bruins had their worst offensive performance of the season. Their 52 points were eight points fewer than their next-lowest total this year. Since that loss, the Bruins are 9-1 and positioned to potentially claim a No. 1 seed in the NCAA tournament.

The Wildcats have had a bit bumpier of a road since their victory over the Bruins. They won their next five games, but they have lost two of their last five, both of which came against unranked opponents. They have scored at least 78 points in nine consecutive games.

The Bruins are undefeated at home this season, and the only thing missing from their resume is a victory over Arizona. If they are able to get revenge for their loss back on Jan. 21, then the Bruins would likely be a one-seed even if they don’t win the Pac-12 Tournament.

But are the Bruins good enough to cover this spread? They already have the Pac-12 regular season title wrapped up, and while they are certainly playing for more than that, they can not afford to be looking ahead to the Pac-12 Tournament in this one. Additionally, the Bruins haven’t been very good against good teams this year. They are 2-3 against Top 25 opponents, and those wins came over the Maryland Terrapins and the Kentucky Wildcats.

With the spread too up in the air to play, we’re turning to the total. This number is simply way too high. The first meeting between these two teams was an anomaly, but this feels like an overcorrection from oddsmakers. The Wildcats’ offense has been great of late, but so has the Bruins’ defense. The Bruins have allowed just one opponent in their last nine games to score more than 70 points against them.

Expect the Bruins’ defense to keep this one lower-scoring than many think it will be, even if the Wildcats ultimately come away victorious. Also, a majority of wagers are currently on the Over, yet oddsmakers are lowering this total. When that happens, side with the oddsmakers.

FanDuel and BetMGM are offering a total a half-point higher than DraftKings and Caesars. Since there is no additional cost, it simply comes down to which of the two sportsbooks you’d rather bet at.

We recommend FanDuel for this one, as they are currently offering the Bruins at -4.5. BetMGM is offering them at -5.5. If you are on the Wildcats, then it would be better to bet at BetMGM and parlay this Under with a Wildcats’ spread or moneyline.

Keep an eye on these lines throughout the day. With how the public is trending, we expect this number to go up before tipoff.

Arizona vs. UCLA odds analysis

The Bruins opened as 5.5-point favorites, and the number has stayed there at BetMGM, though it has gone as low as 4.5 at FanDuel. We expect this number to continue to drop considering 58% of wagers at the time of writing are on the Wildcats to cover the spread.

The total opened at 148.5, and it has either stayed there or dropped to 148 at the five major sportsbooks. Interestingly, despite these teams combining for just 110 points in their first meeting, 68% of bettors are backing the Over. At least initially, oddsmakers are ignoring this trend, but do not be surprised if this total ends up at 150.
