Could the outcome of the NBA Finals be predetermined by a Taylor Swift conspiracy theory? In this intriguing investigation he was forced to write about, Jon Metler dives into the subject, presenting absolutely no personal opinion on the matter.

Taylor Swift is currently captivating her fans with an incredible tour, and apparently, she is also having an impact on the NBA Playoffs.

Yes, you may have thought that the Boston Celtics were struggling against the Miami Heat in the Eastern Conference Finals due to Jaylen Brown's Cold as You 3-point shooting or Joe Mazzulla's Mean unfamiliarity with timeouts. Well, think again! The true culprit seems to be Swift herself, who happened to have a concert at Gillette Stadium.

Betting trends that hold no Style or significance to anyone are similar to attending a Taylor Swift concert – it can be quite costly, and all you'll be left with are memories.

Now, let's dive into this seemingly absurd Taylor Swift conspiracy theory. I can't believe this is how I'm spending my Friday. Bring back a full slate of NBA games into this Blank Space, please!

Taylor Swift NBA Playoffs curse

Our good friends at DraftKings released a tweet on Friday, shedding Starlight on a potential Taylor Swift curse unfolding in the NBA Playoffs. It seems that whenever her Eras Tour visits a city, the NBA team representing that city subsequently gets eliminated from the playoffs. no body, no crime, right?

Take a look at the tweet:

First and foremost, absolutely not! As an anti-trends bettor, there is absolutely zero chance that I would place a bet solely based on a Taylor Swift curse. If anything, we should be more concerned about the Heat's recent back-to-back losses, which coincidentally happened after Jimmy Butler and Shakira started following each other on Instagram, right after she attended Game 3.

If I were to place a bet on the Heat to win the NBA Finals, it would be because their pricing was advantageous, and personally, I believe All Too Well that fair odds for the Heat to win the NBA Finals would be +615 (14% implied probability). That price is very close to the odds we're currently seeing on the Heat, and there isn't a sportsbook offering a number enticing enough for me to make a wager.

You probably didn't expect in your Wildest Dreams to encounter actual betting analysis when you clicked on a Taylor Swift article, but why else would I even touch upon this Delicate topic? Don't place a bet based on a trend that holds no significance to anyone; only place a bet if you discover a Safe & Sound advantage in the numbers.
