Can Giannis Antetokounmpo make a run at the NBA MVP award on Tuesday night and, more importantly, will he score more than 30.5 points? Jon Metler shares his NBA best bets for Tuesday's schedule using the best NBA odds.
Thanks to the National Championship, we had no NBA games to bet on on Monday, but we're finally back with some NBA bets on Tuesday. The only reason I'm forgiving the NBA schedule makers is because they packed the slate on Tuesday so there will be plenty of bets to place.
After gaining 19.76 units over the last three weeks in our NBA best bets article, I'm looking forward to wrapping up the regular season on a high note.

Tuesday’s NBA player prop picks
Player Prop: Giannis Antetokounmpo Over 30.5 points vs. Wizards (-113 via FanDuel) ⭐⭐⭐⭐
This player prop for Antetokounmpo is clearly headed to 31.5 or 32.5 points, but we're able to buy it at 30.5 points (-113), thanks to FanDuel. I'm confident that this prop will not be available at this price right before tip-off, so I wouldn't hesitate to secure it at this price as soon as possible.
There's always the possibility that Antetokounmpo could wind up sitting out the fourth quarter if the game results in a blowout against the Washington Wizards, which may discourage many bettors from placing a bet on this prop.
Instead of worrying about that narrative, I'm going to roll with the math and projections that have Antetokounmpo scoring 33.4 points on Tuesday. This projection allows me to price Antetokounmpo at -150 to score over 30.5 points.
Perhaps a little price shopping coupled with a rogue line via FanDuel would be more convincing than the projection alone. DraftKings opened Antetokounmpo at Over 30.5 points (-120) and has already adjusted the juice on the Over to -135. The -113 we're buying at FanDuel is both better than DraftKings' original line and an indication of where the price of this prop will be as the day progresses.

Player prop: CJ McCollum Over 5.5 assists vs. Kings (+105 via PointsBet) ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
CJ McCollum has been on my radar all morning, and I believe now is the appropriate time to place a straight bet. PointsBet offered the shortest price on the Over for New Orleans Pelicans guard's assist prop at -110 for a short while, but the second they lengthened their odds to the longest on the board at +105, it was time to hit the button.
I believe this prop is severely mispriced, but I was not in a hurry to place a bet because four or five sportsbooks were trading it at even money or better. My goal was to see if we could secure a slightly longer price point and I believe +105 via PointsBet is the best we can do.
Based on the projections, McCollum will drop 6.6 dimes against the Sacramento Kings, so this prop can be priced at -170 to go Over the total, and it has an expected value of 29 percent.

Player prop: Karl-Anthony Towns Over 21.5 points vs. Nets (-125 via Caesars) ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Karl-Anthony Towns is doubtful for Tuesday's game against the Brooklyn Nets, but we have seen some steam on the Over for Towns' points prop and on the Minnesota Timberwolves' spread, leading me to believe that he will play.
Speaking of that steam, several sportsbooks have moved Towns' line to 22.5 points, such as FanDuel, BetMGM, and BetRivers, but Caesars is still offering this prop for 21.5 points. As it is not very often that Caesars offers a rogue price, I’m definitely going to take advantage of this opportunity.
The Timberwolves forward is projected to score 23.7 points against the Nets on Tuesday, so we can price him at -145 to exceed his point total of 21.5 points. Compared to lines we’re seeing at other sportsbooks such as BetMGM, who have Towns trading at Over 22.5 points (-110), buying this at Over 21.5 (-125) via Caesars more than doubles our expected value.

Tuesday's NBA game pick
Spread: Grizzlies -17.5 vs. Trail Blazers (-107 via Pinnacle) ⭐⭐⭐⭐
The Portland Trail Blazers may have pulled off one of the biggest upsets in NBA history when they defeated the Timberwolves as 19.5-point underdogs in their last game, but it won't happen again on Tuesday. It’s possible that this upset over the Timberwolves, which is fresh in everyone's mind, is allowing us to buy the Grizzlies at a better price than we would otherwise have to pay.
As the Grizzlies are projected to defeat the Trail Blazers by 19.5 points on Tuesday, we can price the spread of Grizzlies -17.5 at -129 rather than the -107 we are able to buy via Pinnacle. Grizzlies -17.5 (-110) is a consensus number across the board, but you can save three cents by betting with Pinnacle.
