Cavaliers vs. Celtics prop bet predictions for Tuesday

Donovan Mitchell Under 27.5 points ⭐⭐⭐

Coming off a series nobody outside of the greater Cleveland area watched (do Orlando fans exist?) - Adam Silver obviously didn't think anybody cared with Game 7 being at 1 p.m. ET on a Sunday - the Cavaliers are in for a rude awakening against Boston.

Donovan Mitchell dropped 89 in his last two games, but he's due for a regression and who better to put him in his place than the Celtics. Boston was third in the NBA in defensive rating this season (111.6) and has arguably the best defensive backcourt in the NBA with Jrue Holiday and Derrick White.

The Celtics allowed the third-fewest points to shooting guards (20.52) this season, which is why this prop is priced as short as -125. Those odds imply a 55.56% probability this prop hits, according to our odds calculator. But the payout is $19.43 on a $10 bet with our odds.

Jayson Tatum Over 14.5 rebounds + assists ⭐⭐⭐

The best player on the best team in the NBA didn't even have to score all that much for the Celtics to cruise by a limping Miami Heat squad. While Tatum didn't have his best series in the points department, he was still an impact player.

Against the Heat, Tatum averaged 10.4 rebounds and 5.4 assists while combining for Over 14.5 in four of five games. If Jarrett Allen plays for Cleveland (he's missed the last two games) this prop will be a lot harder to achieve. But with the even money odds, I like the gamble either way.

This is a Cavs team that managed to lose by more than 20 to Orlando twice while allowing Paolo Banchero to average 10 rebounds and five assists over the final five games. There's a 50% implied probability that Tatum will hit the Over with a $10 bet paying out $20.

Derrick White Over 25.5 points + rebounds + assists ⭐⭐⭐

It was already not very fair that the Celtics managed to turn White into one of the best defenders in the NBA, and now they have him looking like a perennial All-Star in the playoffs. When did White become Ray Allen?

He had the Heat's backcourt looking like a group of scrubs who'd won some bizarre lottery put on by Pat Riley for the chance to play in an NBA game - Riley does give off Willy Wonka vibes. White was relentless, averaging 22.4 points, 3.6 rebounds, and 3.2 assists.

His 3-point shooting was true X-factor with him going 4.2-for-8.8 (47.7%) per game in the series. That'll come in handy against a Cavs defense that allowed the 10th-highest 3-point percentage in the NBA (37.1%) this season. These odds imply a 51.22% probability the Over hits, with a $10 bet paying out $19.52
