We're evaluating our favorite NBA player props and the best bets for Monday, based on the best NBA odds.
After no NBA games on Sunday, we're getting treated to a whopping 13-game slate on Monday following a resounding success for the inaugural NBA In-Season Tournament.
The NBA's first-ever In-Season Tournament concluded with the Los Angeles Lakers securing the inaugural NBA Cup, beating the upstart Indiana Pacers in Sunday's final. Now with the tournament behind us, we can set our sights on a loaded slate of games on Monday, as we’re taking a look at three big men in favorable spots, and one of the NBA’s best players staying hot.
There’s no rest for the aforementioned Pacers, as they head to the Motor City to face the shorthanded Detroit Pistons, who are on a 19-game losing skid. The Houston Rockets host the San Antonio Spurs, a team that’s lost 16 straight. With Kyrie Irving sidelined, the Dallas Mavericks will be without half of their dynamic backcourt, and Luka Doncic will look to guide his team to victory on the road against the flailing Memphis Grizzlies.
Finally, the Los Angeles Clippers will host the shorthanded Portland Trail Blazers in a game that may be a lopsided affair.
Here are our NBA player props and best bets for Monday (odds via our best NBA betting sites; pick confidence based on a 1-to-5-star scale).

Monday’s NBA player props
Isaiah Stewart to record a double-double vs. Pacers (+330 via bet365) ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Detroit’s starting center, Jalen Duren, will miss multiple weeks, and backup Marvin Bagley III is doubtful Monday due to a back injury that forced him out of the Pistons’ last game. Stewart has played most of the season at power forward, but with both Duren and Bagley out, Stewart could play some more minutes at the five in this favorable matchup.
Stewart has averaged 11.1 points and 7.6 boards in eight games without Duren this season, and he’s provided a double-double in four of them.
The Pacers are among the best matchups for opposing bigs in the NBA. The team allows a whopping 132.9 points per game on the road, 8.5 points more than the next-most generous team, the Washington Wizards. Indiana also allows an NBA-most 67.1 points in the paint, 4.5 more than Washington.
The Pacers got absolutely crushed by Anthony Davis and Co. in the NBA Cup Finals on Saturday, giving up 70 rebounds, which is the most surrendered in a single game by any team this season. On the season as a whole, Indiana allows the eighth-most rebounds, including the fourth-most on the road and the sixth-most offensive boards.
Detroit has been off since Friday, but Indiana played a grueling matchup on Saturday in Las Vegas and will be back on the road for this one in Detroit. This matchup is already phenomenal for Stewart, but the fact that Detroit’s top two centers are out and the Pacers may be worn out makes this matchup tantalizing.
I love this plus-money wager Monday, and the odds are much longer at bet365 than at our other best sports betting apps, which offer this prop at +280 or +285.
Jabari Smith to record a double-double vs. Spurs (+150 via FanDuel) ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Smith started the season off slowly, but he’s come alive of late, averaging 13.4 points and 10.8 rebounds over his last eight games.
The second-year big has double-digit rebounds in each of his last two games and three of his five, including a career-high 18 against the Oklahoma City Thunder. Despite his double-double average, Smith has only one double-double to his credit over his eight-game stretch, but he can put it all together in a friendly matchup with San Antonio.
Smith has averaged 13.1 points and 9.1 rebounds at home compared to 12.2 points and 7.8 rebounds on the road, which sets him up nicely to pull down at least 10 rebounds against the Spurs.
San Antonio surrenders the second-most points and the fifth-most boards to opponents this season, and they’ve been generous to opposing 3-point shooters, as well.
The Spurs give up the third-most 3-pointers, and Smith should have no problem knocking down a pair of triples. He’s hit multiple threes in 11 of 19 games and scored double-digit points in each of them.
Luka Doncic to record a triple-double vs. Grizzlies (+250 via FanDuel) ⭐⭐⭐
Doncic has been one of the NBA’s hottest players of late, with averages of 37.3 points, 10 rebounds, and 12 assists across his last three outings.
Doncic will not only have to carry the scoring load Monday but he’ll be forced to take on an even bigger load as a facilitator with Irving sidelined. In four prior games without Irving this season, Doncic averaged 28.8, 10.3 rebounds, and 12.5 assists. He dished double-digit assists in all four contests and produced two triple-doubles.
Doncic has double-digit assists in each of his last three games. Memphis has been one of the worst teams in the Association this season, surrendering the fourth-most rebounds and ranking middle-of-the-pack in points and assists allowed. Doncic played at Memphis on Oct. 30 with Irving out, and he posted a 35/12/12 triple-double. We’ll bank on him staying hot Monday and going for a third triple-double in his last four outings.
Daniel Theis double-double vs. Trail Blazers (+1800 via DraftKings) ⭐⭐⭐
We’ll wrap up our double-double props with a long shot on the Clippers' backup big man. Theis has been solid over his last three outings, scoring in double figures twice in that span. Over his last two, he averaged 10 points and 7.5 boards in just 21.5 minutes per tilt. As Ivica Zubac’s primary backup, he should see minutes in the high teens or low 20s regularly, but he could be in line for expanded playing time in Monday's contest.
The Clippers are 13-point favorites over Portland, and this game could quickly turn into a blowout. That means the starters could hit the bench early in the fourth quarter, leaving reserves like Theis to get some extra run. Portland has allowed the sixth-most rebounds to opponents on the season overall, but with Deandre Ayton questionable again and a thin frontcourt rotation behind him, this is an exploitable matchup for the Clippers’ big men.
Zubac’s odds to record a double-double are +120 at DraftKings, so you can target that one for a safer pick. If you’re looking to go for a home run, Theis is your man.
