The Dallas Wings will look to end their five-game losing streak tonight when they take on the WNBA championship odds-contending Indiana Fever. Tipoff from Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis is at 7:30 p.m. ET (ESPN). Indiana is a 7.5-point betting favorite, but our Wings vs. Fever predictions are targeting the Over with Dallas rookie Paige Bueckers being the key catalyst.

Dallas' wings appear to have been clipped after showing signs that they could take off mid-season. Since a stretch where the Wings won five of seven games, they've gone just 2-11 since July 7, including two losses to the Fever. In those two outings, Indiana outscored Dallas 190 to 161, despite Bueckers pouring in 20-plus points in both matchups. Given the Wings' defensive woes and the team losing four straight by double digits, my Wings vs. Fever predictions have Indiana taking this by a score of 92 to 83.

Dallas may have the second-worst record in the W (8-24), but it's been one of the most consistent over bets in the league. The Wings are 17-15 betting the Over, tied for second-best behind the Los Angeles Sparks, and have hit the Over in two of three matchups against the Fever this season. In those games, Dallas is allowing 94.6 points per game, up from their season average points allowed of 86.7, the third-most in the league.
It's no surprise that the Wings have struggled to stop Indiana's offense, even without Clark. The Fever sit fourth in the WNBA in points per game (84.7), fifth in offensive rating (107.6), and second in pace (78.7). While White's squad may not have it's biggest name, it does have two of the best offensive threats in the league in Kelsey Mitchell and Aliyah Boston. Mitchell is third in the league in points per game (19.9) and Boston is third in offensive win shares (3.7).
However, Indiana's defense remains an issue at times, ranking in the back half of the W in points allowed (81.5) and defensive rating (103.6). Bueckers and Arike Ogunbowale should be able to expose a unit that's allowing the second-most 3-pointers per game (7.2) and the most assists (18.6) to help cash this Over.

Bueckers is quickly becoming one of the biggest faces of the WNBA as a rookie, with her sitting seventh in points per game (18.5) and eighth in assists per game (5.3). The No. 1 pick ranks top 20 in PER (21.2), offensive win shares (2.6), and offensive rating (113.9), and has shown no signs of slowing down, even while dealing with a back injury.
Bueckers has scored 20-plus points in four of her last five games, while putting up four-plus assists in each of those games. That includes a 22-point, four-assist outing against the Fever, who's defense should struggle with the UConn product again tonight.
