The Indiana Fever look to snap their two-game losing streak tonight when they host the Seattle Storm, and I'm breaking it down with my Storm vs. Fever prediction.

The Fever have slid down the WNBA championship odds, and Seattle is favored by 3.5 points ahead of tonight's matchup. Tipoff is at 7 p.m. ET (CBSSN) at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis. I focus on both teams' offenses and the recent play of Fever star Kelsey Mitchell in my Storm vs. Fever best bets.

📈 Storm vs. Fever betting odds analysis

The Storm opened as a 1.5- to 2-point betting favorite, with the line seeing little to no movement as tipoff approaches. While neither of these teams has played particularly well as of late, Indiana has been one of the least trustworthy teams over the last month. The Fever have failed to cover in five straight games and seven of their last eight.

👀 Storm vs. Fever betting odds update

Seattle is now a 3.5-point betting favorite as of Tuesday afternoon after opening at 1.5 points. That line movement was a bit surprising, considering the public's consistent backing of the Fever, with or without Caitlin Clark.

 Over 168.5 (-110) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

The Fever can't seem to cover, but they've become one of the most consistent Over bets during their streak of poor play. Indiana has hit the Over in four straight games, with their defense being as lackluster as their offense has been explosive. On the season, Indiana is fourth in points per game (85.1) but bottom five in points allowed (82.8).

The Fever's defense has been far worse as of late, allowing 87.1 points per game in August, which has to have the Storm's offense raring to go. Seattle's in a similar boat to Indiana this month. Its offense has been thriving, putting up 86.7 points per game, but its defense has been atrocious, allowing 85.4 points per game - that's helped the Storm hit the Over in three of their last four.

While Indiana is still without Clark, the combo of Mitchell and Aliyah Boston is a proven offensive duo that should be able to push the Storm's flimsy defense. If these two teams combined to hit the Over, a $10 bet pays a $9.09 profit.

Kelsey Mitchell Over 2.5 made 3-pointers (+125) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Not having Clark sucks, but Indiana still has one of the most exciting offensive players in the W. Mitchell is third in the league in points per game (20.7) and made 3-pointers per game (2.6), with her showing zero signs of slowing down.

The Ohio State alum has been on fire from behind the arc lately, shooting 12-for-18 (66.7%) from three in her last three games and hitting Over 2.5 threes in 10 of her last 15 games. If Mitchell manages three-plus made threes again, a $10 bet pays a $12.50 profit at bet365.

Storm vs. Fever FAQs

Who is the favorite to win Storm vs. Fever?

The Storm are a 3.5-point betting favorite on the road against the Fever.

How do WNBA spread odds work?

When betting on the WNBA, the favorite needs to win by a certain number of points to cover the "point spread" - also known as the betting line. Conversely, the underdog needs to lose by fewer than the points displayed in the spread or win outright to cash. For example, a 3-point favorite would need to win by 4 or more points to reward bettors.

How do WNBA moneyline odds work?

When betting on the WNBA, the underdog will have the "longer" odds and is typically priced at "plus-money" odds that indicate the profit on a $100 bet. For example, a team with +150 odds would turn a $100 bet into a $150 profit - or a $10 bet into a $15 profit - according to our odds converter.
