Phoenix is 3-3 since bringing in Bonner, but that has more to do with the level of competition than anything else. The Mercury have lost to the Minnesota Lynx, New York Liberty, and Atlanta Dream – all of which are among the top teams in the league.

Without Clark, Indiana doesn’t have that kind of upside. I believe in Phoenix to prevail on Wednesday.

Phoenix has been one of the more impressive teams this season, given the availability of its best players. The Mercury’s big three of Alyssa Thomas, Satou Sabally, and Kahleah Copper haven’t even played double-digit games together at this point in the season.

As a result, I think the Mercury’s best days are ahead of them as the third-best team in the league. They demonstrated that upside in a 16-point win over the Washington Mystics last time out.
