F1 Championship odds favorite Oscar Piastri is on the second row for today's race at Miami International Autodrome, which starts at 4 p.m. ET (ESPN). The McLaren driver, featured in our 2025 Miami Grand Prix predictions and best bets, now has his work cut out to win his third race in row.
Meanwhile, four-time defending champion Max Verstappen took pole position after finishing just ahead of last year's winner Lando Norris. However, Norris is the marginal favorite at our best sports betting sites despite starting behind the Dutchman.
Kimi Antonelli continued an unprecedented rookie season by securing third on the grid.

π Miami Grand Prix predictions, expert picks & best bets
π Pick to win Miami Grand Prix: Oscar Piastri (+150 via FanDuel) ββββ
I picked Norris to win in our Miami Grand Prix prediction and odds. And while he has an excellent chance of winning his second race of the season, I've pivoted back to Piastri after seeing him thrive in the Sprint Qualifying.
While Norris won last year's Miami Grand Prix, his first F1 victory, I can't possibly go against Piastri considering his current form and confidence level. Piastri won both races in the Middle East (Bahrain and Saudi Arabia) and has won three of five thus far.
He also took first in Friday's P1. Admittedly, P1 has little bearing on what will transpire in Sunday's race, but it's another first place for Piastri, who is racking those up like a wine collector accumulates vintages. I'm locking in Piastri for a third straight win, which would pay a profit of $15 on a winning $10 bet at most of our best sports betting sites.

π Best value bet to win Miami Grand Prix: Max Verstappen (+500 via BetMGM) βββ
Verstappen at +500 is too good to pass up, especially after the Dutchman took second at the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix. He finished fourth in Sprint Qualifying and was first or second in two of the previous four races. He's a constant thorn in Norris and Piastri's side and has every chance of winning his second race of the season if either McLaren driver slips up.
And remember, Norris did exactly that in Bahrain, finishing fourth after a woeful qualifying. bet365 and BetMGM offer +500 for a Verstappen win, which would profit $50 on a winning $10 bet.
As of Sunday afternoon, BetMGM is reporting that both the highest ticket and highest handle percentage are on Verstappen, and he's the sportsbook's biggest liability ahead of the race.

π― Best long shot to win Miami Grand Prix: Charles Leclerc (+2300 via FanDuel) βββ
Leclerc scored his first podium finish of the season at the Bahrain Grand Prix, with the Ferrari driver taking full advantage of Norris' slip-up in qualifying. He has constantly improved over the last six weeks, finishing fourth, fourth, and third in his last three races.
While he showed some regression in Sprint Qualifying, finishing sixth, the event does not currently favour Ferrari's car. Leclerc is a smashing driver in grand prix races, able to make up for many of the car's shortcomings with his expertise and experience. Unfortunately, there is not enough time to do so in sprint events, where the car's performance takes center stage.
If Leclerc does the improbable and wins his first race of the season, a $10 bet at FanDuel would profit $230.
π° Best Miami Grand Prix prop bets & picks at Miami International Autodrome

π₯ Best prop bet for Miami Grand Prix: Lando Norris fastest lap (+137 via bet365) ββββ
Norris has won the fastest lap in three of five races, including at the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix. Backing Norris here is also a hedge, as he should be in the top three. If Norris wins the race, there's an excellent chance he'll secure the fastest lap. Even if he doesn't, Norris has the fastest car and is the marquee driver for this prop after taking the fastest lap honor last season.
A winning $10 bet at bet365 would profit $13.70.
π Best prop bet for Miami Grand Prix: Charles Leclerc podium finish (+500 via bet365) βββ
Leclerc won't have an easy time getting on the podium as he'll have to find a way to get past Verstappen, George Russell, and, quite possibly, Antonelli after his blistering Sprint Qualifying time - not to mention McLaren's terrific twosome. But as I said in my long-shot pick, I believe in Leclerc's driving ability.
Russell's odds are slightly too short to back, so Leclerc is a fitting secondary option. And if he races like he did in Bahrain, anything can happen. Leclerc's ability to finish on the podium might be predicated on one of the favorites making a mistake, a distinct possibility on Miami's street track.

π‘ How to bet on Miami Grand Prix
When betting on any grand prix, there are many things to consider, some more crucial than others:
- Follow what happens closely during the practice sessions
- While the practice sessions should be used to inform your picks, qualifying is the most important part of the pre-race festivities. You might get better odds picking a driver before qualifying, but it could also make winning much more challenging if qualifying doesn't go well
- Locking in your picks after Sprint Qualifying but before the sprint and qualifying will usually facilitate better value
- Pole position is more crucial at some races. For example, none of the previous polesitters won the Miami Grand Prix
