Max Verstappen, whom I backed in my Singapore Grand Prix best bets, will start second on the grid for today's race at Marina Bay Street Circuit (8 a.m. ET, ESPN) behind pole-sitter George Russell.

Verstappen, the +100 betting favorite, is looking for his third straight win and first in Singapore, while Russell will hope to win his second race of the season.

Oscar Piastri had the third-fastest qualifying time and will like his chances of increasing his lead at the top of the Drivers' Standings

Singapore Grand Prix predictions, expert picks & best bets

Editor's note: Picks were made after FP2.

Here are my Singapore Grand Prix best bets for tomorrow's race at Marina Bay Street Circuit based on the latest odds from the best F1 betting sites.

Pick to win Singapore Grand Prix: Max Verstappen ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Verstappen finished FP2 with the third-fastest time. While not a resoundingly impressive result from the Dutchman, it's his first third-fastest FP2 result for seven races. He last finished as the third fastest in FP2, seven races ago, at the Austrian Grand Prix.

I mentioned this in my Singapore Grand Prix predictions, but this street race presents Verstappen with an excellent opportunity to win his third consecutive race. It's the second slowest track on the F1 grid, with 23 corners, making it one of the most challenging and physically grueling.

Verstappen has the experience and skill set to manage the conditions while enjoying an uptick in momentum and confidence after winning in Italy and Azerbaijan.

He won't want to be stuck behind the McLaren drivers out of the gate, though, so this pick will be predicated on how he performs in qualifying. There's also 60% chance of rain, possibly a thunderstorm, which won't faze Verstappen, arguably the best driver in inclement conditions.

Of the best sports betting sites, the odds at BetMGM (+200) offer the best possible profit, where a winning $10 bet will profit $20.

Best odds: +200 via BetMGM

Best value bet to win Singapore Grand Prix: Lando Norris ⭐⭐⭐

Norris' FP2 session was derailed when he and Ferrari driver Charles Leclerc collided in the pit area, leaving the McLaren driver scrambling to get back on the track for the final 10 minutes.

He wasn't impressed with his driving overall, though, saying it was his fault and not the car's for finishing almost half a second adrift of Piastri.

If anyone can bounce back, it's the Brit, particularly at a track he's been so successful at.

He won in Singapore last year, finished second in 2023 and fourth in 2022. Those results provide enough confidence to back him over Piastri, even though the Australian has looked the better driver through FP1 and FP2.

If he wins for the second straight year in Singapore, you'll earn a $20 profit on a $10 wager.

Best odds: +200 via BetMGM

Best prop bet for Singapore Grand Prix: Lando Norris fastest lap ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Norris had the second-fastest lap during his win in Singapore last year and has six fastest laps to his name thus far in 2025. He had the fastest lap at Monaco, a street race that is similar in that it's one of the slowest on the circuit.

The Brit had the fastest lap in Italy two races ago despite eventually losing to Verstappen. The four DRS zones at the Marina Street Circuit could help Norris secure the quickest lap if he finds himself behind his teammate or the Dutchman at any point.

A winning $10 bet at FanDuel would profit $20.

Best odds: +200 via FanDuel

How to bet on Singapore Grand Prix

When betting on any grand prix, there are many things to consider, some more crucial than others: Here's some tips for the Singapore GP:

  • The Singapore Grand Prix has 23 corners, making it one of the more challenging race tracks. That's why I'm more partial to the skill set and experience of Verstappen
  • It's the second-slowest track, which should also facilitate more of an opportunity for the Red Bull as the slower speeds help offset the disparity in performance levels of the MCL39 and Red Bull's RB21
  • Keep in mind that nine of 14 drivers sitting in pole position won
  • There's a 60% chance of a rain or a thunderstorm, which would also favor Verstappen as he's one of the best in wet conditions
