The Aces are the two-time defending champions and the second-favorites by the WNBA championship odds, but they sure haven't looked like it.

Entering Sunday, Las Vegas has lost four of its last five games with three double-digit defeats since the Olympic break. Its last game before the hiatus was a loss to the Sky, who enjoyed a 34-point effort from Chennedy Carter in a 93-85 road win.

Now Chicago plays host to a rematch after losing by just two points at the Connecticut Sun.

On paper, the Aces are the better side, but I just can't justify laying so many points on a team that hasn't earned it with its recent play.

Carter set her season high in points (34) when these teams last faced off, but she's played the role of facilitator since then.

The former No. 4 pick has tallied a combined 10 assists in her last two games, and she's cleared this total in four of her last seven contests. She also finished with four assists when these teams met in June.
