I had a conversation with a friend earlier this morning about the Yankees. He believes the Yankees, despite their dominance thus far, are flawed, particularly because of the back end in their rotation. I disagree, and I have a feeling my case will get a bit stronger after Warren performs solidly tonight.

The rookie owns an inflated 5.34 ERA, but his xERA is a much more impressive 3.73, and his other peripheral stats match that. And with the way this Yankees team is hitting, he simply needs to be just decent to keep them in the game.

Not one single Yankees starter has posted a wRC+ below 100. That means the entire team is hitting above league average, including a glove-first player like Austin Wells.

They're just really, really good. And they'll prove that with another beatdown of the Royals tonight.
