The reigning American League champions can't afford to sit on their hands if they want to end the second-longest World Series drought in franchise history. New York went out this offseason and spent some money to replace Juan Soto and attempt to keep pace with Los Angeles.
The Yankees added power to their lineup with Cody Bellinger and Paul Goldschmidt, all while bolstering their pitching staff with the additions of Max Fried, Jonathan Loaisiga, and Devin Williams. New York is the clear front-runner in the American League behind MLB MVP odds leader Aaron Judge.
The Bronx Bombers (+800) are the only other team trading at lower than +1000 at DraftKings.

Atlanta will be in contention again in 2025 with its experienced batting order and Cy Young Award Odds contender Chris Sale. The problem for the Braves is they play in arguably MLB's most competitive division.
Atlanta cannot afford a slow start while waiting on Ronald Acuna Jr. and Spencer Strider to return from major injuries suffered last season. However, after adding Jurickson Profar in the offseason, oddsmakers believe the Braves boast enough talent to stay afloat until Acuna and Strider come back, even in a competitive National League East.
There are too many unknowns to justify taking a flier on Atlanta at 10/1 odds through Caesars, but that price accurately represents the potential ceiling for Brian Snitker's roster.
