⚾ Red Sox vs. Yankees Prediction & Picks: MLB Odds for Sunday, June 7
Last Updated: June 7, 2026 8:35 AM EDT • 5 minute read X Social Google News Link
After the New York Yankees swept the Boston Red Sox at Fenway Park in April, Boston will try to return the favor this afternoon at Yankee Stadium after yesterday's rainout. Today’s pitching matchup is between Ranger Suarez and Cam Schlittler, and the Yankees are -165 betting favorites. First pitch is scheduled for 1:35 p.m. ET (ESPN Unlimited).
My Red Sox vs. Yankees prediction continues to fade an Aaron Judge-less New York squad. But I do believe in Cam Schlittler’s ability to limit Boston’s offense overall as part of my MLB picks.

🏆 Who will win Red Sox vs. Yankees?
It's hard to argue with Boston’s road success, as the team has won six of its last seven road games, and 13 of 19 at Yankee Stadium since June 2023.
Score prediction: Red Sox 4, Yankees 3
💰 Red Sox vs. Yankees prediction & best bet
Red Sox ML (+141)
After dropping Friday’s series opener, the Yankees have lost three of four games without Judge while scoring 13 runs over that span.
New York’s splits with and without Judge since the 2022 season are staggering. It's played 625 games with him, totaling a .592 win percentage, averaging 5.0 runs and 1.6 home runs per game, with a .328 on-base percentage and .435 slugging percentage. Without him for 85 games entering this series, the Yankees have won 42.4% of games, averaged 3.8 runs and 1.1 home runs, and posted a .294 on-base and .368 slugging percentage.
📡 SBR Edge: Road sweet road?
While Boston is three games over .500 on the road, it's an MLB-worst 10-21 at home this season.
🔥 Best Red Sox vs. Yankees player prop bet
Cam Schlittler Under 1.5 earned runs (+132)
Schlittler is coming off his worst start of the season, allowing five runs over 4 1/3 innings to the Guardians and striking out just three batters. But he pitched to a 1.07 ERA over his previous eight starts, including allowing one earned run over a season-high eight innings during a win at Fenway Park on April 23.
Schlittler boasts the highest run value of any pitcher on his four-seam fastball this season. And his 33.6% whiff rate on the pitch is second only to Jacob Misiorowski’s 43.9% whiff rate on fastballs (minimum 250 thrown).
Schlittler has also done well to limit the opposing teams’ power, posting the fourth-lowest OPS allowed among pitchers who have thrown at least 50 innings (.514).
💣 Red Sox vs. Yankees home run prediction
Paul Goldschmidt to hit a home run (+450)
With Schlittler allowing just four home runs this season and owning the fifth-best HR/9 among qualified pitchers (0.47), I'm looking to a Yankees slugger to go deep for optimum value. And even though Boston is making a switch from yesterday's projected starting pitcher of Connelly Early to Ranger Suarez, they're both left-handers, which plays right into Paul Goldschmidt's better split.
Goldschmidt had a nine-game hitting streak snapped in Friday’s series opener, but he batted .333 with five extra-base hits and nine RBI over that span. Goldschmidt also has an .808 slugging percentage and 1.292 OPS against southpaws, with five of his seven home runs coming in that split.
🚀 Red Sox vs. Yankees same-game parlay
Backing the Red Sox moneyline in conjunction with Schlittler staying Under his earned runs total didn't leave much flexibility for my three-leg same-game parlay to hit. That's why I swapped my Schlittler prop for a more conventional Under bet, which still has plenty of ways to cash even if Goldschmidt continues his success against southpaws.

💡 How I'm betting Red Sox vs. Yankees: MLB strategy
Follow all of our MLB analysis and expert predictions for baseball season.
Even though the Yankees are 9-4 in Schlittler's 13 starts, I'm not keen on the run support the lineup will provide him with Judge, Giancarlo Stanton, and others out of the lineup. That's why I wouldn't put anyone off making their best game prediction a play on the Under. But I found more value with the Red Sox moneyline as road underdogs, especially given their success at Yankee Stadium since 2023.
📊 Live Red Sox vs. Yankees odds
After opening at one of the highest numbers in the market at New York -170, BetMGM drifted to -180 before returning to the original number. With 41% of the early moneyline wagers backing Boston, we shouldn't see the line balloon any higher than it's at now given how much support there is for the underdogs.
After the news of yesterday's rainout and subsequent pitching change from Early to Suarez, the O/U ticked down a half run from 8.5 to 8 at several of the best MLB betting sites, like BetMGM, DraftKings, and Caesars.
