Not only did Kansas City enter yesterday amid a five-game winning streak, but it also had won seven of its last eight. And now it is in its better hitting split facing a left-handed starting pitcher, which is why Kansas City’s moneyline is my Rangers vs. Royals prediction.

A lot went right for Kansas City during its torrid eight-game stretch, like its bullpen pitching to a 2.36 ERA. But its offense had a lot to do with its success as well, like Bobby Witt Jr. recording a base hit in every one of those eight games, and Vinnie Pasquantino recording 16 extra-base hits (including nine home runs), 26 RBIs, and a .929 OPS since July 23, entering yesterday.

Kansas City is 14-9 against left-handed starting pitchers and 51-53 against rightys. Its current hitters have also roughed up Rangers southpaw Patrick Corbin for a combined .308/.341/.527 slash line, which makes this a confident Rangers vs. Royals best bet.

Witt is on a nine-game hitting streak and extended his streak on Tuesday with a home run, which put him two home runs shy of his fourth straight 20/20 season to open his career. He followed that up with a three-hit performance yesterday, which would have surpassed this projected total on hits alone.

Witt became the fourth player in MLB history with 100-plus home runs and 100 or more stolen bases in their first four MLB seasons, and I am backing him to fill up the stat sheet as my best Rangers vs. Royals player prop.
