This one could go sideways for the Braves fast. They're trotting out Didier Fuentes to make just his second major-league start after Chris Sale landed on the IL.

Fuentes, who's the youngest active player in MLB at 20 years old, boasts an impressive arsenal, and his ceiling is high. But growing pains likely loom, as we saw during his debut in the majors with four earned runs allowed across five innings and only three strikeouts against the struggling Miami Marlins.

The quality of competition increases significantly today for him against the Mets and their offense that boasts the league's sixth-best OPS (.741). A key figure in that effectiveness for the World Series odds contenders is Lindor, who has tallied two hits in three of his last four games, a stretch that features two home runs and a double.

The switch-hitting Lindor excels against righties like Fuentes while posting an .826 OPS, as opposed to a .743 against southpaws. He's also clubbed 12 of his 16 home runs this season against righties, which is one of the main reasons why he's the focus of our Braves vs. Mets predictions.
