šŸ’° Best NRFI bets today (Friday, July 10)

Phillies vs. Tigers NRFI (+100) - 6:40 p.m. ET

  • Aaron Nola (5.67 ERA) vs. Jack Flaherty (4.60 ERA)
  • NRFI records: Phillies (45-49) vs. Tigers (51-42)

Nola isn't having the best season of all time, that's no secret, but against the Tigers, he's put up some strong numbers in his career. Across 34 plate appearances against this lineup, he's racking up the strikeouts at a 32% clip while limiting them to a .198 xBA. On the other side is a man who rises to the occasion in this specific matchup as well. Flaherty has some pretty outrageous numbers against the Phillies, limiting Kyle Schwarber (2-for-26), Trea Turner (1-for-14), and Bryce Harper (0-for-5) to an xBA of .220 or lower. That'll do - fire this up as part of our best NRFI bets today, I'd price this closer to -120.

Mariners vs. Rays NRFI (-115) - 7:10 p.m. ET

  • Luis Castillo (4.79 ERA) vs. Nick Martinez (2.61 ERA)
  • NRFI records: Mariners (47-47) vs. Rays (45-46)

Here's another spot in which a pitcher isn't having the best season (Castillo), but thrives in a specific matchup. Across 64 plate appearances against him, the Rays own just a .236 xBA, which includes a .214 (3-for-14) average from Yandy Diaz and a 0-for-5 look from speedster Chandler Simpson. Martinez is having a fantastic season on the other side, too, generating whiffs at a 21% clip against this Mariners team. This is a great look as a one-unit play today.

šŸ’” How I'm betting NRFI picks today (July 10)

Follow all of our MLB analysis and expert predictions for baseball season.

A NRFI (No Run First Inning) bet carries high variance, meaning success requires a disciplined, daily dive into the data. Before placing a wager, run through a strict checklist: analyze how the starting pitcher matches up against the top three hitters in the lineup, track underlying metrics like strikeout rates (K%) and expected batting averages (xBA), and review recent team-specific first-inning scoring trends. Because a single mistake or lucky hit can ruin the bet instantly, always use this daily routine to guide your wagers and scale your unit sizing accordingly to protect your bankroll.
