Scottie Scheffler (+170)
Getting +170 odds for Scheffler to win the Hero World Challenge for the third straight year isn't really that bad, considering we saw him around this price point several times in full-field PGA Tour events this season. A winning $10 bet would return a profit of just $17, but that's still better than coming away with nothing as we wait until January to bet on golf again.
Scheffler won this tournament by six strokes last year, at 25-under par. He won by three the year before. And he was the runner-up in his first two appearances in The Bahamas.
These odds from FanDuel would return an extra $1 profit compared to the +160 odds from DraftKings and Caesars.
💰 Pick to win the Hero World Challenge
Cameron Young (+1300)
I wouldn't advise a big bet card for the Hero World Challenge. Scheffler is rightfully the heavy favorite with proven course success, and this is more of a pitch-and-putt exhibition than anything else, given its spot on the offseason schedule. Only one of the last nine winning scores was worse than 18-under. The course is not set up to be difficult or to challenge these golfers in attendance.
That said, I have to sprinkle on Cameron Young at +1300. He was one of the hottest golfers on the planet to conclude the PGA Tour season and is set to finish 2025 at No. 18 in the Official World Golf Ranking (OWGR) after starting at No. 39. He finished third in this event three years ago, his best result in three appearances.
It's also important to take advantage of the outlier +1300 odds from FanDuel which would return a profit of $130 on a winning $10 bet. Caesars offers odds of just +800 for Young to win the Hero World Challenge, with that number returning a profit of just $80 on a $10 bet.
