The Wake Forest Demon Deacons are on a three-game losing streak and have dropped six of their last seven games. They’ve lost by at least 14 points in four of those six contests. Additionally, the Demon Deacons have topped 20 points in ACC play only twice.
Notre Dame quarterback Sam Hartman faces his former team for the first time. He has thrown for fewer than 200 yards in two of his last three games. Notre Dame owns a 4-3 record in its last seven games.

The Demon Deacons have played poorly for most of this season, but the 24.5-point line in this game is a lot. The Fighting Irish have shown they can win by that much, but they’ve also struggled mightily with teams that, on paper, they should have no trouble with. Without a play on the spread or total, a player prop has our attention.
While the story entering this game will be Hartman going against his former team, Estime will do most of the damage on the field. He has four 100-yard rushing games this season, and though he’s only rushed for over 100 once in his last six games, he cleared 80 in four of his previous five.
The Demon Deacons are allowing 151.9 rushing yards per game. They’re only allowing 233.1 per game through the air, and with how inconsistent Hartman has been this season, it’s impossible to trust his passing total. But Estime’s total is listed well below what the Demon Deacons allow, and in a game that the Fighting Irish should lead from start to finish, there’s no reason to think he’ll go below his season average of 98.8 yards per game.

The total opened at 46.5 and has not moved despite 82% of bettors backing the Over. We’d expect this number to go up before kickoff, but oddsmakers seem reluctant to move it too far. Therefore, we don’t see it moving beyond 48.
