The Arizona State Sun Devils and Texas Longhorns will battle with a spot in the College Football Playoff semifinals on the line.

I don’t have to worry about opt-outs and transfers when making the best Texas vs. Arizona State player prop picks with so much to play for in this year’s Peach Bowl. This game will simply come down to whether the Longhorns can stop Cam Skattebo, and if they can, how much damage can Quinn Ewers and the offense do?

The best college football betting sites are expecting big things from the Longhorns. Texas is a 12.5-point favorite in the College Football Playoff contest (1 p.m. ET, ESPN) from Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta. Our Texas vs. Arizona State prediction leans toward the underdogs being lively.

Golden has now gone four consecutive games without a touchdown reception. Despite his recent slump, he still leads the team in touchdown receptions and receiving yards. He’s also second on the team in catches, so he should get plenty of looks after a lackluster game in the first round of the playoffs.

This is likely to be a low-scoring game, as both defenses are solid. The Longhorns’ defense is better, so I don’t like any of the Sun Devils’ scoring props. When looking at the Longhorns’ offensive players, +165 for Golden to score provides the best anytime touchdown value, especially considering he’s tied for first on the team in touchdowns this year.

Best Texas vs. Arizona State prop picks

Cam Skattebo Under 104.5 rushing yards ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Best odds: -114 via FanDuel | Implied probability: 53.27%

Skattebo needs to have a huge day for Arizona State to have any chance in this game, but I’m not sure he can get it done.

Yes, he’s rushed for 1,568 yards this season, and he has put up at least 170 yards in back-to-back games. However, the Longhorns are allowing just 104.5 rushing yards per game. They completely dominated the Clemson Tigers in the first round, holding them to just 76 rushing yards.

While Skattebo has been amazing for most of the season, he’s rushed for fewer than 100 yards five times. He averaged 4.5 yards per carry or fewer in each of those instances. Meanwhile, the Longhorns are allowing 3.1 yards per carry overall. Skattebo hasn’t been matchup-proof, so look for him to struggle in this one.

Quintrevion Wisner Over 86.5 rushing yards ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Best odds: -114 via FanDuel | Implied probability: 53.27%

While Skattebo is getting all the headlines, Wisner is the running back who will leave the Peach Bowl with the performance to remember. He ran the ball 15 times against Clemson, averaged 7.3 yards per carry, and scored two touchdowns. It was his third 100-yard game in four tries.

While he will be competing for carries with Jaydon Blue, there’s no doubt that Wisner is the preferred back, even after Blue ran for 146 yards against Clemson. While the Sun Devils are allowing just 117.8 rushing yards per game, the Longhorns should be leading from start to finish. That means increased touches for Wisner, who is averaging 5.1 yards per carry.

This prop is available at four sportsbooks, but FanDuel has the total set 10 yards below both bet365 and Caesars. What’s even more amazing is the price is better at FanDuel than it is at bet365, and it’s barely worse than the number Caesars is offering.
