College Football Player Props Week 7: Predictions, Picks for Saturday

Week 7 of the 2023 college football season has arrived, and here are our favorite player props for this week's slate.

We try to stay hot in Week 7 with more plus-money prices on our favorite college football player props based on the best NCAAF odds.

Week 6 was like a movie for our college football player props, as we netted more than five units by cashing multiple plus-money picks. Overall, my college football player props are up 7.08 units on the year after the best week yet.

This is the first season I've bet player props on a regular basis in college football, and as I've said all year, we are going to learn a lot throughout this process. We can't guarantee the same level of success as last week, but it's clear finding upside angles has proved to be the best strategy thus far.

So, that's what we will continue to do in Week 7, now that the first half of the 2023 regular season is behind us. For even more player props, check out our Week 7 college football expert picks as well.

To complement our college football predictions for Week 7, here are our best college football player props for Week 7 (odds via our best college football betting sites; pick confidence based on a 1-to-5-star scale).

College football player props for Saturday Week 7

Brock Bowers 100-plus receiving yards (+215 via bet365) ⭐⭐⭐

Perhaps we are overconfident after last week's showing, but I'm shooting for a serious payday with this prop. It's also too much fun to bet on the best tight end in the country, especially when he's putting together a legitimate Heisman Trophy campaign this season.

Bowers has accumulated 37 receptions for 545 yards and four touchdowns for an undefeated Georgia team. Both Bowers and the Bulldogs are finally rounding into form after some pedestrian performances to begin the season.

Bowers has hit triple-digits in receiving yards in three straight games, averaging eight receptions for 136.6 yards per contest over that span. He now gets a Vanderbilt defense that ranks 111th in PFF's coverage grade.

With a receiving prop just below 80 yards across our best sports betting apps, I prefer shooting for more upside with Bowers on a day where projections have him flirting with 90 yards. Don't be surprised if UGA feeds him a bit more in a blowout to add to his Heisman case, either.

Devin Mockobee Over 12.5 rushing attempts (-102 via Barstool) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Sticking with Saturday's early slate, Purdue's starting running back is being a bit undervalued in a matchup against Ohio State. The Buckeyes (5-0) have been dominant on the defensive end, but that's why we are taking this volume play instead of betting on production from Mockobee.

Mockobee has piled up 368 yards and four touchdowns on 87 carries so far this season. He has cleared this rushing attempts prop in four of his six games, which includes a 20-carry performance against Iowa last week that resulted in 89 yards and a score.

From a yardage standpoint, Mockobee has a prop in the low 40s across the board. We project him to clear that line for the third week in a row, but OSU's defense deserves some respect. That's why the better play is on his rushing attempts line at Barstool, as we project him to get more than 15 carries against OSU.

College football player props for Thursday Week 7

Garrett Greene 50-plus rushing yards (+105 via DraftKings) ⭐⭐⭐⭐ ✖️

We started last week by betting on a mobile quarterback, and Kansas State QB Will Howard delivered in a weeknight Big 12 matchup. Here's hoping West Virginia's Garrett Greene can do the same in Thursday's road matchup with Houston.

Our Brenden Schaeffer believes WVU's rushing attack will be the difference in his top West Virginia vs. Houston prediction, and I completely agree. It would be easy to bet on Mountaineers running back CJ Donaldson Jr., but his rushing total is already hovering around 90 yards.

Greene has a rushing prop of 45.5 across the board, with the exception of FanDuel, which has set his line at 53.5. That's much closer to my projection, which is why we are taking the +105 offering DraftKings is providing in its alternate rushing yards market instead.

After missing West Virginia's win over Texas Tech due to an ankle injury, Greene returned last week and ran for 80 yards on 12 rushing attempts against TCU. He also piled up 71 yards on 15 attempts against Penn State in early September. The only two times Greene hasn't cleared this mark were a blowout win over Duquesne and a game in which he was injured against Pittsburgh.

Rushing props for quarterbacks can be tricky in college football due to sacks counting as negative yards, but Greene should be involved enough in designed runs against Houston to hopefully get this ticket home.

Garrett Greene anytime touchdown scorer (+150 via Barstool) ⭐⭐⭐ ✔️

I say this every week, but touchdowns are extremely fluky. We are mostly aiming for mispriced lines, and we have one here. Barstool deserves a ton of credit for having yes-no options on touchdown odds, but it has given us a +150 price on Greene to score when his anytime touchdown odds are -105 at a place like BetMGM.

In the two games where Greene was more involved in the run game, he found a way to find paydirt. He scored two rushing touchdowns against TCU last week and punched one in against Penn State's defense on Sept. 2.

Donaldson is the lone player with minus odds to score a touchdown in this Big 12 matchup, meaning his best value is likely Over 0.5 rushing touchdowns (-135 at DraftKings). But this is our favorite plus-money option to score, though we'd only play this at +140 or better based on projections.
