The Florida Gators’ historically tough stretch continues with a trip to Austin, Texas, to take on the Top 5-ranked Texas Longhorns.

As part of our Week 11 college football predictions, our Florida vs. Texas player prop bets reveal which players will impact the SEC showdown. Kickoff is set for noon ET on ABC from DKR-Texas Memorial Stadium.

All of the pressure is off the Gators after athletic director Scott Stricklin announced Billy Napier’s job as coach is safe for the foreseeable future. This means Florida can focus solely on trying to derail Texas’ College Football Playoff odds.

Florida vs. Texas touchdown pick

Ja’Kobi Jackson anytime touchdown scorer (+340) ⭐⭐⭐

You’d be forgiven for not knowing Jackson. The redshirt junior — who joined Florida from Coahoma Community College in the offseason — has largely been a complementary piece in the Gators’ run game this season. However, he’s recently taken on a larger workload due to Montrell Johnson’s injury.

Johnson is listed as questionable for this Week 11 tilt, but even if he goes, his limited status should lead to more carries for Jackson, and as such, we’re not shying away from backing the latter to find the end zone with such a good price.

Jackson’s carved out a roll as the season has progressed as Florida’s de facto red zone threat and touchdown scorer. He’s scored in 50% of the Gators’ games this season, which is enough to take a flier on odds with an implied probability of 22.73% at DraftKings.

Best Florida vs. Texas prop bets

Quinn Ewers Under 240.5 passing yards (-114) ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Quinn Ewers had lofty expectations placed on him as one of the preseason Heisman Trophy odds favorites. The hype has now evaporated following his early-season injury and benching against Georgia. His failure to limit mistakes against Vanderbilt has Texas fans worried, but there is hope he used the bye week to get right.

Ewers has only thrown for 241 or more yards in three games this season: Colorado State, Michigan, and Vanderbilt. He’ll now face a defense in Florida that surrenders fewer passing yards than all three and is more in line with Oklahoma. The Gators and Sooners are separated by just two places (No. 68 and 66, respectively) on the NCAA’s passing yards allowed rankings.

Ewers managed just 199 yards through the air in the Red River Rivalry, which could be a sign of things to come. Miami’s Cam Ward and Georgia’s Carson Beck are the only opposing quarterbacks to throw for more than 180 yards against Florida this year. Bettors get the best price on Ewers’ under prop at FanDuel, although they can find some more wiggle room (O/U 249.5) at ESPN BET for a steeper price (-145).

Brenden Schaeffer also thinks Ewers will struggle as part of his Florida vs. Texas prediction.

Isaiah Bond Under 49.5 receiving yards (-114) ⭐⭐⭐

The former Alabama wide receiver, Bond, was Texas’ biggest addition in the transfer portal last offseason. While he’s not having a bad season by any stretch of the imagination (380 yards and four touchdowns), he’s not the superstar many expected. This is mainly because he and Ewers haven’t established much on-field chemistry.

Bond’s best games this season came when Arch Manning was under center. He’s only failed to go over 50 yards twice, but those two games were the last time he suited up. Bond picked up an ankle injury against Oklahoma, and even though he played through the loss to Georgia, he tallied just three catches for 16 yards across those two weeks.

The Longhorns hope his extended absence will be enough to get him back fully fit. In a press conference this week, Steve Sarkisian praised the job Bond did at practice. He remains hesitant to give the wide receiver the green light, though, which is why we recommend continuing to fade him against a stubborn Florida secondary.
