No. 2 Georgia gets a home matchup against Vanderbilt to add to its resume of why it has the right to stake claim as the best team in the country, and my Vanderbilt vs. Georgia prediction looks to the Under while expecting a defensive struggle. All of that sells high on a Bulldogs offense that is off to one of the most historic starts in school history.

Kickoff from Sanford Stadium in Athens is set for 12:45 p.m. ET on Saturday, airing on SEC Network. Georgia is a 24.5-point favorite.

Under 51.5 (-118 via DraftKings)

Vanderbilt made the splashy move of announcing former No. 12 overall recruit and the No. 2 quarterback in the Class of 2026, Jared Curtis, as its starting quarterback. While the highest-ranked player ever to sign with Vanderbilt may have a bright future ahead, the reality is that the youngster struggled in his first road start last week with fewer than 200 passing yards and a 0-to-1 touchdown-to-interception ratio.

Meanwhile, despite Vanderbilt’s last two opponents being respectable squads from Power 4 conferences (NC State and Louisville), the Commodores defense ranks in the top 50 in opponents yards per play, allowing 5.0 yards per snap.

The reverse line movement suggests that a play on the Under is siding with the sharps and fades the public. The total opened at 53.5 and has dropped as low as 50.5 despite 66% of the wagers backing the Over. I'd pass on any number lower than 51.5 at this point, as the value is too diminished at an O/U of 50.5.

📡 SBR Edge: October Unders

The Under is 7-0 in Vanderbilt's last seven October road games against AP-ranked teams.

Raylen Wilson is a disrupter at linebacker

Georgia linebacker Raylen Wilson leads the team in tackles, sacks, and forced fumbles. He should once again live in the Vanderbilt backfield, as the Commodores' offensive line only paved the way for 2.7 yards per rush against Auburn. He is a big reason the defense held Oklahoma to one rushing yard in the first half last week and pitched its first shutout over the opening 30 minutes since the 2025 SEC Championship.

Georgia’s offense has scored 40+ points in four straight games to start a season for the first time since 2018, and while its 219 points is its most in a four-game start since 1910, it is also due for regression since 52 of those points have come off of nine turnovers. I’m banking on Vanderbilt cleaning up its turnovers, as it is one of 30 FBS teams to commit 5+ turnovers this season.

Score prediction: Georgia 31, Vanderbilt 13
