TCU vs. Georgia Spread

Georgia -13 is the consensus spread, though you'll find a -13.5 at both FanDuel and BetMGM; this number opened as high as -14.5 but has since settled in just below the magic number of -14.

The Bulldogs were merely average against the spread this season (7-7 ATS), but were a perfect 4-0 SU and ATS in games in which they were favored by fewer than 20 points before failing to cover against Ohio State at -5.5. Perhaps most impressively, Georgia outscored its opponents 171-65 in those four contests as slim faves prior to the Peach Bowl.

TCU has been similarly kind to bettors this season – going 10-3-1 ATS despite failing to cover in two of its final three outings prior to its CFP triumph over Michigan. The Horned Frogs has fared well in limited action as underdogs, going 3-1 SU and ATS in four contests (capped by an impressive showing as a 7.5-point dog vs. the Wolverines).

TCU vs. Georgia Over/Under

The CFP National Championship total ranges between 62.5 and 63.5; FanDuel is at the low end of the spectrum, with DraftKings and BetMGM hanging the highest number.

Despite sportsbooks consistently baking Georgia's notoriously stingy defense into their totals, the Bulldogs still come into the national championship game  with a 6-7-1 O/U mark for the season. It is notable, however, that the Bulldogs have converted the Over in four of their final five games of 2022, including an easy O62.5 payout in the Peach Bowl.

TCU has posted an 8-6 O/U mark this season, though four of its past six games have come in below the number. Credit an improved defensive performance for the Horned Frogs' year-ending Under run, with the team holding opponents below 30 points in four of five outings prior to that Fiesta Bowl shootout with the Wolverines.
