The National Hockey League season heads into November with some surprise performances early in the season. This has resulted in changes in the Stanley Cup futures market. Here are my rankings of the top sportsbooks for betting Stanley Cup futures.

I recently wrote about the latest Stanley Cup odds and there have been notable movements since the odds before the start of the season. Here are the latest rankings of the top sportsbooks when it comes to betting in the Stanley Cup futures market.

For example, the Boston Bruins have jumped out to a 9-1 start this season and that has resulted in their Stanley Cup odds getting shorter across the board.

But the changes have not only been with NHL teams. There have been shifts in the prices offered by the top sportsbooks. That has resulted in changes in the rankings of the top sportsbooks, sochange is possible during the season if a sportsbook is going to offer more competitive odds.

Here are my rankings of the top sportsbooks for Stanley Cup futures wagering.

1. Caesars Sportsbook

Although Caesars is carrying the shortest odds on the slumping Toronto Maple Leafs, it has more favorable odds for playoff contenders. Most notably, Caesars has been slow to move on the Boston Bruins, the surprising top team in the league. The Bruins are priced at +2000 to win the Stanley Cup at Caesars and as short as +900 at DraftKings. Among the top dozen teams, Caesars longest odds or is tied for the longest odds for five of them.

2. Barstool Sportsbooks

In the preseason, Barstool tantalized with a few prices but, generally, were offering shorter odds on the teams expected to be playoff contenders. What has changed since then is that Barstool is offering excellent odds for the very top teams. Among the top eight Stanley Cup contenders, Barstool has the longest odds or is tied for the longest odds for six of them. Its odds become notably shorter after that point, so the value being offered is not as strong for a team like the Edmonton Oilers or Vegas Golden Knights. Overall, though, Barstool is offering more appealing Stanley Cup odds to bettors.

3. PointsBet Sportsbook

As usual, PointsBet rarely offers the longest odds, but it is competitive in the marketplace. The most notable pricing in the PointsBet Stanley Cup market is that of the New Jersey Devils. The Devils have exceptional advanced statistics and could be a Stanley Cup sleeper. Among the top sportsbooks, PointsBet still has the longest Stanley Cup odds when it comes to the Devils.

4. BetMGM Sportsbook

After mostly disappointing offering before the season started, BetMGM now has better odds for Stanley Cup winners. It is rarely offering the longest odds but is not offering the shortest odds as often. Right now, the Dallas Stars and St. Louis Blues have longer odds at BetMGM than at the other top sportsbooks.

5. FanDuel Sportsbook

Despite early appeal, FanDuel’s Stanley Cup marketplace is not so attractive now. Of the top dozen contenders by consensus at the top sportsbooks, FanDuel is offering the longest odds on one – the Calgary Flames – while simultaneously offering the shortest odds on five of those Cup contenders. This stands in contrast to the pre-season odds, when FanDuel had average or longer odds for five of the top six consensus picks.

6. DraftKings Sportsbook

Before the season started, DraftKings was ranked first among sportsbooks for Stanley Cup futures betting. Now they are not offering great value. Among the Top 18 teams, DraftKings is tied for the longest odds on two – the Edmonton Oilers and St. Louis Blues – and has shorter than average odds for 10 of those teams.
