Bitcoin book Anonibet allows balances in US dollars. No worries about BTC price.

    From Anonibet
Anonibet 2015 new feature - USD accounts

Anonibet is pleased to announce to its customers the possibility to keep their accounts in USD instead of BTC for those using Bitcoin as a payment solution. Anonibet has taken such a step in order to encourage its customers prefering to use Bitcoin as a mean of transactions rather than fiat currency. That way our customers will not be affected by BTC price fluctuations.

However all deposit and withdraw transactions WILL ONLY BE in BTC, It will not be possible to deposit or withdraw in USD. Bitcoin remains the only deposit and withdraw solution at Anonibet.

The deposited BTC amount will be converted to USD according to the rate at the time of depositing and the Anonibet account will be credited in USD.
When withdrawing, the USD amount requested will be converted into BTC according to the rate at the time of the withdraw request and payment will be made in BTC.

When registering our customers will have to opt if they want a BTC or USD account. It will not be possible to change that option at a later stage.

The BTC-USD exchange rate applied when depositing or withdrawing is the price index from Coindesk.com, Blockchain.info or Bitcoinaverage.com (upon their availability).

Sounds like the dodgy forex broker trick of using multiple price feeds so they can select the worst at any moment.

I can see using 3 indexes since 1 may be down but they definitely should put up the order used so that they can't pick and choose the index.

why? they've been in business since 2011. I don't think they want to use it as a scam. As posted above, they still need to prioritize.

Anonibet in my opinion is the best bit book out there. If they are a scam it would be pretty elaborate

In addition to the three indexes, if there is a major dip in BTC, it could create funding issues. They aren't exactly the FDIC. It creates a false sense of confidence that the your value of your deposit is safe. If BTC eventually stabilizes, it's a cool feature. I guess time will tell.

JetWin already does this and indeed this is needed at ANON . I would like to see it applied to all accts not just new ones.

What do you mean by a funding issue? If you want a cash account with Anonibet, then bitcoins can be seen as the middle man. The value of bitcoins is insignificant.

This is a great move. I hope other books follow suit. I think they will and ultimately there will be no distinction between bitcoin books and traditional books. I'm not talking next month; I'm talking in a couple years (assuming bitcoin lasts that long).

I'm with you 100%. Right now the only downfall to a bitcoin book is price fluctuation.

Good news, top notch for soccer. Not converting to fiat was the only reason I wasn't using them. Raiders, do you know if existing accounts can change to this option? I can check later if need to. Thanks for the update.

Fred at the Chat desk informs me that Betcoinaverage.com is the primary index they use in determining the value of BTC.

They allow you to open up a 2nd account to play in USD................ You can't change from BTC to USD or vice versa but they don't have a problem with a new account for that purpose.

If you use a 2nd account, you just have to use another email address. Everything is anonymous so another account doesn't bother them.

They cater to European markets such as soccer with many props and derivatives. They also have live betting in all markets. It's true live betting, not just commercial breaks.

Can anyone explain me what's the reason for some sportsbooks like Anonibet or JetWin to use the BTC for all transactions instead of normal currencies (USD, Euro, etc.)?

Ease of transactions, players being anonymous and funding problems for those in the US are some reasons.

They won't have a problem with it. Some books would have a problem but not Anonibet.
