As for why he wasn't charged, I think the whole thing smells of poor police work. He claims he was attacked. Ok, the first thing we would have done is photograph any area on his body where he stated he's been assaulted and have medical personal examine said injuries. If such photos exist I'd think the police would be rushing to release them to explain why he wasn't charged.
