Eat whole wheat bread. I would suggest you eat whole wheat oatmeal, sweet potato or brown rice for your carb source. Eat atleast 1gram of protein per lb per day. That would be around 200ish a day for you. Substitute your coffee for water or tea and eat your veggies. Take a multi vitamin.
As other have suggested do your cardio if you can do it atleast 6 times a week. Try a weight training program. Muscle help burns fat.

Creature, just work hard and strive to lose fat everyday while maintaining muscle mass. Do this by eating healthy and busting your ass in the gym, both on cardio and weights. No need to make this rocket science. Hard work='s results.

Well guys, here's the first hard-ish run of my weight loss party!
I hope to make this go up to 8-10 by the end of the 30 days guys.
I also did a little lifting weights, mostly biceps and shoulders for about 20 minutes after this.
Won't be checkin' the scales for at least 3-4 days, because if I'm not shedding pounds immediately I don't want to get discouraged. Just know that. I will keep everyone updated on what I have done for a workout that day.

no seriously dude stay away from bread or anything that looks like bread if you can rent - download - steal a copy of the documentary called " fat,sick and nearly dead" it's like a detox, it advocates juicing fruits and vegetables drinking only that and tea,water nothing else.
try it for the next 60 day's or so i guarantee you will be a different person at the end. if your overweight training at a gym may not be the best option at the moment as the strain on your previous injury's could come back to bite you in the ass.

You're trying to better yourself, brother. Anyone who would waste their time giving some anonymous guy grief for attempting to improve his life is a tool. The fact that they would be giving said grief in an ONLINE CHIT-CHAT ROOM also makes them a certified dildo.
But as you can see, very few of those here. Most guys want to see you do well. Even the jokes are meant in good fun. Just roll with it, have thick skin, and accomplish your goal.
Nothing is more difficult than losing substantial amounts of weight. If you can achieve this goal, your self-confidence will actually be the biggest beneficiary of all.
Make it happen.

dude get your money back from the gym and buy a juicer. definitley watch that documentary the guy in it had a chronic skin condition - he couldnt walk the length of himself without wheezing, he was a heart attack waiting to happen. he lost like 100 pounds in 60 days, he runs marathons and his skin condition dissapeared.
ive been doing it off and on for the past few months going up and down in weight, only because i love my weed to much and the munchies are a bitch . like you i can feel it affecting me again so im gonna stop being a pothead until i reach my goal.
so if you dont mind i'll start with you first thing it'll be motivation for both of us.

You seem like a good guy creature, I hope you reach your goal. Don't kill yourself take it slow; running at this weight could fuk your body for life. I would walk down to a more manageable weight before you start stressing your body with running.(some doctors are completely against running even at a normal weight) My stepbrother lost around 400 lbs walking in the woods, he would take the dog out for walks everyday for hours wrapped in garbage bags. I also think he was using cocaine, that would help you also. anyways... GL pal

As for excel, I appreciate your kind words finally. I set a goal though, to lose 20 in 30 days. It's not unmanageable and I see there is a lot of others that agree with me. I can't go back on it now and as a whole I think it will be great for me.
Also, thanks DS. Appreciate it. But I had some amazingly delicious cabbage and other vegetable soup that my mother cooked up tonight for dinner and it was just about as good as that pizza!

Try eating 6 times a day no more than 2000 calories. I lost 40lb in 10 weeks like that and with no exercise... Can you imagine how much weight u will lose if u exercise and do this diet?

Guy, if you have ever worked off half of your weight, then I would value this opinion. going from 300+ to low 200's is AMAZING. Its not a race to get there, but a long term goal. It just doesn't happen overnight.
Creature, do your thing, the best thing you have done so far is encouraging yourself to change from something you are unhappy with. Getting there is a whole other thing.
Just do what makes you happy, that is all that matters.
