#75I was also thinking that since I would have to assume quite a few posters are overweight, as I am, this could also help others. I was just thinking that all you need is a couple of trolls like ttwarrior and excel and a lot of great support and you have one hell of a weight loss program. Screw Weight Watchers.Comment -

#77Why was this thread moved? With all the bullcrap posts that get left in "PT" one would certainly think that a thread/post like this one would be left alone. It was getting lots of hits/traffic, already had pictures & a video......................and more importantly had the potential to be very entertaining/interesting.

#79Creature pal, good start for July POTM
I wish you the best, sincerely. As I think you've already hit on, 160 is probably too light for you. Anyways, it's nice to have long term goals like getting to 195 or whatever, but without reaching your short term goals you'll never succeed. Please read up on losing fat and not muscle. The goal is not to just see the number on the scale go down, thats misleading, it's to lose fat. Good luck guy and thanks for the vid. Got a good laugh out of it. You certainly proved us homos wrong.Comment -

#81Lmao Cap, Thanks bud. And @ WW, I can't believe they moved it either...Not bashing Dad by any means...but some of his goofy stuff gets kept in there and this won't? This is motivation for a lot of posters. This also has a lot of SBR points, half the basis of this site, being thrown around. There's big bets going on? From what I see, potential to win $1250 or to lose $250. Sounds like a PT thread to me. I won't be whining though. I don't control SBR nor do I control what goes and stays in the PT thread.Comment -

Hey Sam,
I have created a thread that I think should be in the PT section of the forum. I could be wrong, however, there are more that agree with me.
The thread is: http://forum.sbrforum.com/sbr-points...incentive.html
This thread includes betting, huge discussion topics, typical trolling, praise to SBR, lots of points transfer, and a ton more.
I created this thread late at night last night and it has already gotten over 60 posts and over 500 views.
I don't mean to bug you in any way and I completely understand if it is not possible to move it. But I just thought I'd like to get the opinion of myself and a few others out to you.
Thanks a lot and have a great day,
CreaturE
I moved this thread as you have requested points as an "incentive" to obtain your goal so therefore it belongs in the Points Sub-Forum
Sam

#90Yeah definitely get some salad on that sandwich, and a banana or two. You don't need the pretzels.
Remember to drink plenty of water. Water is the essence of life so stay hydrated ALWAYS.
strictly NO soft drink!!!

#91Agree with the above. The problem is too many carbs, not enough healthy fats and protein. Not that all carbs are bad, just the ratio of carbs in this meal is too high and the quality of carb is low. Get an avocado, slice and eat or put it on the sandwich with some spinach and tomatoe. Also some Mayo. No need for the pretzels and try to do whole wheat, whole grain bread. Better glycemic index because of the fiber. Just my .02
And I can't believe this is in the points sub-forum, what a bunch of shit. I thought this was in the Saloon. Fukkn mods these days just pick a random thread and move it to a random sub-forum with no forethought whatsoever.
Oh well, regardless of the sub-forum, I'll be following this thread and giving my .02. Take it for whats it worth.Comment -

#101Tilapia fish, 2/3 oz of cheese, 2 cups of green beans and 2 servings of unsalted all natural almonds per day. Did this for a month when I was 171 and dropped 16 pounds in 1 month. I'm 5'10.

#103Good luck man, I know the feeling of needing personal level motivation to get in to the gym. I too hit the gym years ago and held myself under 200. Now, out of high school for over 4 years, it's a struggle to stay under 230. Now I am 6' 4'' so I may not be considered obese, but to anyone that has ever referenced a BMI chart, I would be considered overweight.
One piece of advise I can tell you to maintain a healthy weight and to lower your overall weight in a HEALTHY manner.... is consistency. Start small and do it EVERYDAY. Jog half a mile to start, even if your falling over afterwards, soaking 2 t-shirts, that means its working. I personally skipped meals as eating was a mental chore for me to stop doing as much, very unhealthy to do but it was necessary as I work in a grocery store, lol. But one thing I made sure I didn't do is drinking any soda or anything with sugar in it. Over the course of your renovations you will struggle, but make sure you make your routine achievable. If all your legs can do is a certain amount, then move to arms, then when they tired move to core. Give your body a total work over every other day and you will see your old self again.
You can do it, just stay in the gym, walk outside, and don't sit in front of your PC so much.Comment -
