Last year I paid $6K. Seems like a reasonable price. Fiance works at the jewelry store I bought it at. Because these places bring in the diamonds from Holland I didn't have to pay tax. I got the diamond for half price because the owners are basically family. With the savings on the diamond, ring and tax the whole thing should have been about $13.5K.

I don't get it how can people spend more then 1 grand on a ring. Never saw the potential in expensive jewelry.

I'm sure I couldn't make a difference when I look at a 100 dollar ring and a 1 grand ring.
