Drinking age is 21, lower it,raise it, keep it the same

Keeping it at 21 does more harm than good. Studies show that kids who don't drink until they go off to college will binge drink more than kids who start drinking at a younger age.

That's why I did my fair share to help prevent binge drinking by buying alcohol for minors after I got out of college.

Kids drink at 18 and in most countries its legal for them to do so. I'd think lowering it to 18 would make more sense. But 21 isn't a huge impost.

i did a school project on this. It can't be 18, because some highschoolers turn 18. This would open the door for a lot of kids age 16 and under to get alcohol easily. 19 imo is the minimum, but they have to do something about minors in consumption tickets. I know more kids who got them than did not in college. The fine is not the problem as much as that it goes on your record. A friend of mine got 2 minors and had to change his major away from commercial aviation because there was NO WAY he could get hired with that on his record.

I had a very sheltering mother in high school, this lead to me being blackout drunk 3-4 nights a week my freshman year of college. There needs to be a better way to ease into it. I doubt the states will lower the drinking age because of the revenue the govt gains from minors in consumption/possession tickets
