Is Shopping At A "Dollar Store" Ghetto?

In general the items will be of lower quality...but quality might not be a factor with some items...like a sponge, or napkins, basic cleaning supplies...I think it all depends on what you are willing to sacrifice to justify the savings. In the end you get what you pay for so always keep that in mind (whether buying high quality products, or not, you may be paying for unnecessary costs, like fancy packaging or name brand items)

To sum it up, I think you can find a lot of value in the dollar store...

just stay away from the food...it has been to europe and back...mark my words...do not buy anything edible from the dollar store...they couldn't sell it in europe and back it came to be sold to some unsuspecting fool in this country...

I can get toilet paper, razors, dish soap and deodorant and be out the door in 6 minutes at my local dollar general. And park right by the door.

Nah no food. Just cleaning shit. It works out bcause its right across the street. Cvs is way over priced anyway.

I shop there for all my cleaning supplies, they have name brand soap in there for a buck which costs 3 or more elsewhere. Do I give a rats ass if I break that can opener from the dollar store..nope costs a buck not 8 or 10 so much is made to be disposable these days so if you break her buy a new one. Greeting cards lots of good stuff, kids bday wrapper and seasonal stuff that shit adds up . I'd rather buy a big screen tv from the money saved from going to the overpriced stores.

dollar general isn't really a 'dollar store' per se...though i will say i have one about a 60 second walk from my house and find myself there all the time. cheap stuff for the kitchen, supplies for the house, etc. cool store.
