Sheen said he has been in discussion with executives at CBS regarding his return to the sitcom, in an interview with Sports Hub radio in Boston earlier this week.

He didn't offer any additional details on the matter. CBS and Time Warner's(TWX_) Warner Bros. TV haven't mentioned any discussions with the actor.
Last month, CBS and Warner Bros. decided to place production of the show on hiatus after the 45-year-old actor reportedly checked himself into a rehabilitation center.

A few weeks later, just as the show was set to resume production, the companies decided to end the eighth season of the TV show after Sheen made some pejorative comments about Chuck Lorre, the show's producer.
Warner Bros. then terminated its contract with Sheen after the actor appeared in a series of interviews in which he repeatedly voiced dissatisfaction with the producers of the sitcom, claiming that he was owed an apology.

Sheen filed a $100 million lawsuit against Warner Bros. and Lorre a few weeks ago after being fired from the
popular sitcom.
The lawsuit demands that the studio pay him for the eight episodes of the eighth season of "Two and a Half Men" that will not be produced, according to a copy of the suit.

The media companies have not made a decision on whether the show will return.

It will be back, after all the Sheen publicity they would love to see the show come back, ratings would be huge. Shows love drama like this, 2 1/2 half men was always a funny show, I watched it a few times and liked it.

Just cater to the lowest common denominator.
Just like Mr. Bundy (who I loved) in Married With Children.

Crack some double entedre gags, show some funbags, lock up the 29-54 male demographics.

You must be confusing 2011 CBS with 1989 Fox when Fox needed Married with Children and Simpson's real bad.
