Labby Method 3/28

jsell I had a losing day yesterday 1-4. I don't win everyday nobody does but I always get the losses back but it may take a day or 2 but it returns to my account. Just stick to the plan. Been doing this 4 month now and have not loss. It helps if you start with a bankroll like $1,000 and just bet like $10 per bet.

I don't think that jsell will be happy until we post the actual plays and dollar amounts to bet, in big bold letters. Even then, I think he'd want us to place the bets for him, and hand-deliver the money to him as well.

Not about to spoon feed anyone. If he wants to win he is needs to do a little work and look up the picks. The cappers have been posted so all he needs to do is look up the picks daily.

Big day today, gents. I picked up a couple more pickers from that spreadsheet that Prime1 posted, and added them to the mix. Amazingly, very few conflicts on picks, but then there's a full-load of MLB and NBA playing today. So I'm keeping my unit level small, but have money out on 17 bets today.

I'm actually a little spooked about it, but when I played 12 the other day, I came in at 10 and 2, so just my general risk paranoia kicking in, I guess. In any case, gonna be a busy and fun day!

Good luck to all...let's make some money so we can invite Gina and her stripper friends back to the labby cave this weekend. I'm looking forward to hot dogs roasting over a flaming effigy of Jsell, then smothered with ChiliDog's chili, cheese, and onions. I'll make a pinata of Jsell so we can beat the crap out of it before burning.

Yup, big day for me as well, mack. I'm fully confident on the outcome though. These cappers really do completely suck at their jobs, lol. But it's all good, because we're cleaning up!

Shutup.....you people are ridiculous....I have done all the work I have all your cappers and I track them.....and your records dont jive....why...cause you say use these but some fade some tail....some change their cappers....I do not know why YOU CARE what I have to say...if you are doing what you are...ignore me....but you know full well if you posted OR BETTER YET actually played these picks you would do no better than every other capper out there....55%...at best. You should change the thread to LABIA method cause you act like a buncha women....

Wow ....someone actually admitted to a losing day....and gave some advice...that is great....now maybe if your good buddy chilidog helped you out you would never have a losing day.....but he wont ...he is a child......I dont want people picks...just STFU about records when you dont post.....

You are such a loser, Chili. If you had followed the method you would have gone 38-1-1 like I did. (The push was a bet on Twins/Yankees OVER 7.5, and damn it if that isn't exactly how the score ended up!)

So I have found the free-plays site, but can't find the free-picks one... anyone want to help me out?

Also, any advice for how many numbers one should use per labby? Based on $1000 bankroll and $10/bet

The free picks are in a yellow menu box, upper-left side of page. BE CAREFUL with that one, as sometimes they don't refresh the picks until late in the morning...until then, they'll still show yesterday's picks...there's no "date" on the free picks to let you know this.

I don't quite run a "true" labby. I bet 10, then 20, then 30, then abandon ship and start over (if that's the case). I run more of a "limited martingale with a safety stop". If a bet wins at 10 or 20, or wins or loses at 30, I go back to 10. No need throwing good money after bad, and my experience is that your wins on 10s, 20s, and 30s will way more than cover the occasional loss at 30.

By the way, while a lot of us here are fading the same group of handicappers, there's no set rule as to which ones are best (or worst) for fading. Best thing to do is track down every free pick site you can find and track them for a while, finding out which ones you are most confident fading for yourself.

In other words, "don't blame me". Do your research for yourself and act accordingly. However, any picker going 50% should make money for you fading OR tailing if you use the labby or a similar money-management system.

And with a $1000 bankroll, I think a $10 first bet is just about perfect. Risk-adverse, but able to profit nicely.

They do show the date. Right now it shows "Free Sports Picks for Tuesday, April 05, 2011". It's kind of in the middle of the page, underneath the big bold words "Free Sports Picks, Free Football Picks, Free Basketball Picks, Free Baseball Picks".

I like to take 2% of my bankroll, and set that as my total labby unit. So, if your bankroll is $1,000, then $20 is your labby "unit" Divide it by 2, and set up your labby line. In this instance, it'd be 10-10-10-10.

Now, if you're going to be doing this system, where we make alot of bets, then I would highly suggest you start off with 1% of your bankroll per, so that in the same example of a $1,000 bankroll, your labby unit would be $10 and you'd set the line up as 5-5-5-5. I know it doesn't sound like alot of money, but we make on average of 10 bets a day. That can tie up your bankroll alot, and you need a bankroll in order to recover from your losses. These cappers will go on winning streaks, so you have to plan for that.

I am in the process of filling my newly created spreadsheet with all the free picks I can find...if I stumble upon anything of interest I will be happy to share!

Yup. But this is only when you're running 5+ labbys at a time. One labby per capper. What I do is I setup a goal before I increase my labbys. If I started with $1,000, I would set my goal at $2,000, and once my bankroll reached $2,000, then I would re-calculate using 1% of that, so that your labbys would be 10-10-10-10. If you're only going to run a few labbys a day, then I would use 2% of your bankroll.

I want to thank the thread... i am no hater. I have found this to be good info and am excited to get started. Now it is time for me to find the 10 worst cappers I can fade.... I just don't see myself being much of a tail guy!

I'm not quite sure why, but fading seems to be much more fun than tailing! Maybe it's the attitude that I'm somehow "sticking it to" these lousy handicappers. It's also WAY more fun than trying to pay for winning picks!

One further note...as you're getting started...I'd go small bets (as low as $5 per bet, starting). As you get into it a couple weeks, you won't be kicking your own ass on losing days (or a succession of losing days, as happens). After you've gone a couple weeks, you should see a profit and you'll feel more comfortable with losing days even if you're betting more.

Yup, what mack says. You can always just flatbet them and not even run a labby. These guys are seriously that bad. I'm at 61% winners, so even if I were just flatbetting, that's still really really good.

What gets annoying is when he updates the date, but is still updating the capper's picks, heh. I would wait until around 10am-12noon EST before you start using them.
