Best time to buy them is when the store is about to close down. They will have them reduced. I can normally get 2 or 3 of them at $2.99 a piece.

Fun fact, almost all of a chicken is processed in most food manufacturers. Grade A meat goes to human consumption, Grade B leftovers are processed as protein for pet food and feathers go to make fertilizers because of high nitrogen content. I think they also still process feathers sometimes as animal feed as well but may have discontinued or reduced activity in this area.

Personally I prefer just eating the pet food directly. Its cheaper that way.
