#329When I was like 5 or 6, Jim Kelly had an autograph session at a local Wegman's in upstate new york.
My 2nd year at Florida State University, I took a sports psych class. We had a long presentation that was due at the end of the year and Toney Douglas (of the New York Knicks) was in my group. He had already graduated and didn't give a shit, so he didn't contribute much. He was a cool guy though.
Rodney Hudson (guard for FSU) sat next to me in my Earth Science/rocks for jocks class my freshman year. He could be a late 1st rd pick this year.
Christian Ponder (qb) showed up at one of the intramural playoff games. He threw me some balls, and shot the shit. They say he might creep into the end of the 1st rd now too.Comment -

#331I used to drive taxi...these are some of the famous people I had in my cab:
Bill Polian
Jim Kelly - in taxi and at a local benefit
Rob Ray - local benefit - I saw him at the keg, and asked him if we were going to beat the Capitals (it was a playoff game) - he said no they are going to kick our ass - he was drinking and probably didnt feel like talking hockey, lol.
Barry Melrose and I think that Levy guy too from ESPN - Barry commented on how I was trying to heat my pizza with the defroster, lol.
Brian Campbell
JP Dumont
Bill Guerin and two other NY Rangers
A couple of DB's from the Houston Texans - At first I thought they were ghetto thugs or something when they flagged me down...they wanted to go to canada (strip clubs), but before I let them int he cab I asked them if they had money...Then they told me they were on the football team, lol...I took them to canada dropped them off...then they called me back and I went and picked them back up.
One time I was driving some dudes to a bar or something where they were playing a show...I asked them the name of their band, and they said "Theory of a Deadman"....this was before they were big.
Also me Dickey Betts outside a venue where he played, and he signed a tape case for me.
Dumont and Campbell were in the back when i was flying down the interstate...well it was windy or something and my magnetic dome light starting coming off...you could hear it banging on the roof then all of a sudden it flew off and was smashing against the side of the car....I put Jp's window down and asked him if he would be so kind to grab my light...He obliged, lol....
Met in a Pool Hall:
Jeanette Lee - she is way cool, and really laid back
-also met her husband George Breedlove
And Earl Strickland - he was at a pool hall for a benefit, and after it the owner of the pool hall had me and my friend drive him to the airport...We stopped at a hot dog joint on the way, and he bought me and my buddy some dogs.Comment -

#337As a San Diegan and former DIEHARD Charger fan, I met Junior Seau multiple times.
Seau- 1993-1996- ran sprints with kids after practice EVERY DAY for several hours and signed autographs after practice....nicest athlete I've ever met...and I still think he's the most underrated linebacker ever.
Drew Brees- 2004- When he finally started playing well in SD, I wanted to say something to help his confidence but for some reason all I said was "I always believed in you." He looked at me like "What am I? A loser?" He signed my autograph and I felt like an idiot
Rodney Harrison- When he still was just a special teams player he gave me his wristband after practice and I wore it in Pop Warner to every game and led my team to the Q-Bowl.Comment -
