#282Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, Shawn Michaels, Ric Flair, Kurt Angle and few other lesser named pro wrestlers who worked out at the 24 hour fitness I was at when they did a show in my area. This was around 2003-2004 I think.Comment -

That reminds me a friend of mine is the Rock's cousin. His name is Matt Anoai. He wrestled for a couple years before f'ing up his knees. He was part of a tag team called 3 minute warning and had Stacy Keibler as "manager" for awhile. His dad and uncle were the "wild Samoans" back in the day.Comment -

#288It was about six months after he becme South African president. I worked for a big shipping company at the time and we were interested in investing in a new port facility in Jo'burg. We were 'only' expecting to meet with the Trade Minister.
Mr. Mandela had no real knowledge on what was discussed but was very pleasant.Comment -

#290Whoooo???
Been to a few parties with the Norwegian snowboarders Terje Håkonsen and Daniel Franck
...and world famous FMX driver Ailo Gaup used to frequent my friends place.
You people would probably not know these, as they are all Norwegian and famous in the narrow field of extreme sports...Comment -

Didn't he get cut from the practice squad???
If you go into a crowd of people and tell everyone that you met Patrick Chung
they are gonna think you are retarded. You need to go out in the world and meet
someone allot more famous than him. Than you can comeback and brag about it
at this forum. Until then you are forbidden post your nonsense.

#305ya exactly. When I saw this thread, I was about to write a post about how I "met" Troy Aikman and Jason Garrett at Garrett's football camp, but then I realized I didn't exactly "meet" them. I never spoke a word to them and didn't exactly "meet" them. "meeting" someone from a distance does not count.Comment -

Met Anthony Munoz several times.
Met Todd Helton a couple times (know his dad and two uncles really well).
Tim Krumrie.

#310I worked for Tyson Foods for a while and met the man. Went to the University of Arkansas and lived in Fayetteville for a few years and hung with Stoerner a few times. Met McFadden out and about. Played ball with Anderson on campus at the HPER complex and let me tell you that dude can BALL! A few friends of mine were in a dunk contest in Russelville Ark and Corliss was the host. Have since moved to Tampa and attended the ESPN Super Bowl party a couple years ago when the Steelers beat the Cardinals. There I met and got pictures with Berman, Van Pelt, Mayne, Rogers and McGahee. Also ran into McFadden there and got to shoot the shit with him some more while drinking patron. And just recently I attended a Jordan/Jeter party at the Hard Rock Casino in Tampa and got to meet Fred McGriff and Shawn Stockman of Boyz II Men. Never could get close enough to meet Jordan or Jeter.Comment -

#313This may seem like total BS, but I dated Avril Lavigne for 5 weeks before she was famous. I used to gig with "her" band. No joke here.
Last time I spoke to her was 7 years ago when she was taking off. She's considered a huge sellout to her hometown and a lot of ppl
in the local indie scene. The group would haul ass, gig after crappy gig, she did a solo thing and ditched the band. Can't say i blame her
but really crappy the way she went out. She had an option to pickup a guitarist and bass player, but she told the studio to supply them instead of her own band. Classless bitch, but fame and money will fk u up.
Thank god I got a piece of that.Comment -
