Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, Shawn Michaels, Ric Flair, Kurt Angle and few other lesser named pro wrestlers who worked out at the 24 hour fitness I was at when they did a show in my area. This was around 2003-2004 I think.

That reminds me a friend of mine is the Rock's cousin. His name is Matt Anoai. He wrestled for a couple years before f'ing up his knees. He was part of a tag team called 3 minute warning and had Stacy Keibler as "manager" for awhile. His dad and uncle were the "wild Samoans" back in the day.

Same sort of thing happened to my brother when he ran into Steve Nash on the street in Manhattan. This was a year or two before his first MVP. I'm still surprised that he was surprised.

It was about six months after he becme South African president. I worked for a big shipping company at the time and we were interested in investing in a new port facility in Jo'burg. We were 'only' expecting to meet with the Trade Minister.

Mr. Mandela had no real knowledge on what was discussed but was very pleasant.

ya exactly. When I saw this thread, I was about to write a post about how I "met" Troy Aikman and Jason Garrett at Garrett's football camp, but then I realized I didn't exactly "meet" them. I never spoke a word to them and didn't exactly "meet" them. "meeting" someone from a distance does not count.

I worked for Tyson Foods for a while and met the man. Went to the University of Arkansas and lived in Fayetteville for a few years and hung with Stoerner a few times. Met McFadden out and about. Played ball with Anderson on campus at the HPER complex and let me tell you that dude can BALL! A few friends of mine were in a dunk contest in Russelville Ark and Corliss was the host. Have since moved to Tampa and attended the ESPN Super Bowl party a couple years ago when the Steelers beat the Cardinals. There I met and got pictures with Berman, Van Pelt, Mayne, Rogers and McGahee. Also ran into McFadden there and got to shoot the shit with him some more while drinking patron. And just recently I attended a Jordan/Jeter party at the Hard Rock Casino in Tampa and got to meet Fred McGriff and Shawn Stockman of Boyz II Men. Never could get close enough to meet Jordan or Jeter.
