#5853Im not a driver im a dock loader, i load trucks.
Speaking of poker this weekend in going to the commerce casino in LA to play in event #2, $125 buy in 300k guaranteed. Should be a cool experience. I odnt play many tournamanets because for one i think its a far worse investment than a cash game but im looking forward more to the free booz and the club during the weekend.Comment -

#5866Taylor this was my question to you
Im currently contributing 6% of my income per week towards my 401k which is invested in the Fidelity 2050 retirement mutual fund. The company matches 50 cents per dollar up to the 6%.
I would also like to invest a additional 10-15% of my income into another sort of tax deferred fund. So my option here would be a 403r?(the one where theres no penalty to pull out), Roth IRA, IRA, or what? The current fund im investing in has yielded a 16% gain since investing in it. I wouldnt mind throwing more into the 401k but since there not matching anything above 6% i dont feel its worth it since i cant manage it like i cud in my own individual account. What would you suggest? im not really interest in stocks but more long term mutual funds/bonds that i can tax defer and gain atleast 5-7% a year. Any advice on what type of tax deferred account i shud set up wud be greatly appreciated or any advice in general.Comment -

#5870Boys, by the way, write this date because at Midnight (CRC time) of Monday, November the 8th of 2010, after almost 10 years of killing myself, I quit smoking, just had the last Marlboro, finished a couple minutes ago... Moving on fellahs, every ending comes with a new beginning...Comment -

#5874Thanks, and well, Alcohol is different, at least in my case, I'm always with my people when drinking so I see it more like getting around with them rather than just getting drunk, which eventually happens after a long night full of laughs and storiesComment -

#5875Roth IRA would be my first choice Lawrence for the growth that you are seeking which is very moderate .You might have to sprinkle a little corporate debt into the mix to in order to make 5-7%.Look for a mid sized mutual fund to invest $10000 in alot of fund managers are taking new money .But yeah Roth IRA would be transferrable to spouses and heirs unlike social security .Also consider a 403b they lower you agI tax deductiable with no I come limits.Comment -
