I'd be thrilled to see it but SDSU goes through too many long dry spells on offense...if they shoot lights out, it's possible but don't really see it happening.

Jake, sometimes it's nice to hear from a fan who has their pulse on the local team. A few questions:
1) This is a natural revenge game from last year's final. That said, massive turnover on the Aztec roster. Payback not a factor?

2) How do you compare this team to the 2023 Final Four team? Pundits say that they're more poised. One thing I noticed on the stats is that this isn't a great SHOOTING team.

3) How do you rate Dutcher? Is he the type of guy that will learn from last year's game? Can he use any of Hurley's tendencies against him this time?

4) What do you make of the trip East? See my other thread about NCAA geography. This UConn route via NYC/Boston actually strikes me as being unfair, b/c it's two short bus trips.

5) Lastly, I view UConn as ripe. The first two games were as big of walkover games as you'll find. NWern might have shown more resistance, but they were off an Overtime game and playing w/o the 7'0" center Nicholson.

1. Many new faces but numerous players have a ton of experience. Next year all of them will be gone. Sure payback is a factor but need a lot of things to go right to win.

2. I feel like last year's team was better and deeper. They didn't shoot well last year and same with this year. They go after defensive minded, athletic and physical guys. I'd love them to get a few guys that can light up the scoreboard and have some offensive skills.

3. Dutcher is great, hard to argue with the results at a smaller school. Sure but will need some luck and some shots to fall to get an upset.

4. SDSU seems to get sent out east damn near every year. Pretty sure Uconn was the #1 overall team so have no issue with them having that advantage as they earned it during regular season.

5. I honestly have hardly watched any of the tournament other than the 2 SDSU games....my interest in basketball in general is almost completely gone so will take your word regarding Uconn's current form. Uconn has a lot more talent on paper so my hopes are not high.
