The CDU/CSU aligns much more closely with Democrats in the US as opposed to MAGA.

The CDU/CSU shares much of the same views as Democrats in the US on healthcare, by supporting universal healthcare. They align with Democrats quite closely on unemployment benefits, child support, etc. They have a 42% income tax for high earners, are extremely strong supporters of Ukraine and want to arm Ukraine. They also don’t demonize immigrants.

This is a win for Democrats in America. It's a loss for MAGA.
