The IRS assumes nothing. They can only go by what is reported. If someone making $30k is being taxed more than someone making $45k, that’s because of the business, not the IRS. It’s your employer that is reporting you actually made $60k not the IRS.

Most people would rather taxes be eliminated but if you only had sales tax, it would disproportionately hurt lower income people.

The IRS does assume that if you're being paid cash tips they won't be reported so it jacks up the withholding tax.

You're only looking at a negative impact, not the big picture. If businesses are smart, they'll take all they save on taxes and give that to the consumer and watch prices get slashed. I'm no fan of tariffs at all, but when Trump imposed tariffs on China, it was common for them to just cut the prices so Americans didn't feel it at the checkout, they felt it by retaliatory tariffs China imposed.

I am a registered voter. WHY SHOULD I HAVE TO WAIT IN AN 8 HOUR LINE TO VOTE???? Especially in the year of a pandemic? I should be able to mail in my ballot and verify/check my results. I really should be able to go online and submit a vote. This is not 1776.

Both sides have been crooked in setting up voting rules to favor their constituents but Republicans have been especially crooked with gerrymandering and purposely making it difficult for people to vote, especially in Democratic majority areas. Trump mail in voted like the last 5 times.

Here in Texas, just like most states, we have multiple checks and balances in our voting. I can go ONLINE right now and see how I voted in like the last 5 elections. Are you telling me that millions of people can't cast their votes online a week in advance. Double, triple check those votes on election day?
