Agree again Dwight. What the heck????

Anyone in any position of 1. reporting or 2. authority, can approach any given situation one of two ways.

They can analyze the situation and report the facts or take control of what is going on for the benefit of everyone, or they can analyze the same situation and make it help their own objective or report it, as what they WANT it to be about.

The first way is what the public deserves. The second way is a disservice that should be received negatively by all.

No matter the side, a reporter reports, an influencer influences. The first is what we all need so we can decide for ourselves. The second is an agenda to sway peoples thinking in a direction that supports the reporters or person of authority's, cause or wallet.

The public can fix this if they all want to, but instead, they are pushed to pick a side. Kind of like the North and the South did before our time.

The entire population needs to think about that and not think what they are pushed to think.

The liberal media are truly disgusting. They all seem to follow the same narrative and run with it.

"The drive by media: they fly into a situation. They arrive on the scene. The make up stuff . They stir up emotions to a frenzied fever pitch. They spread lies, and then, after a few hours or a few days when the real facts come out, they are gone. They are down the road doing it again on the next story, while everyone else is left in their wake with a mess that real Americans have to clean up." - Rush Limbaugh

Rush spent years talking about logic and presenting facts. That's why the Left hated him.

I agree Dwight. I don't know how any level headed person could have come up with some of the stuff that exists.

The Dems destroyed their own credibility with some of the stuff they supported.

At the end of the day, middle ground is where all radicals need to go. Give and take. But certainly not some of the stuff Democrats seemed to have no problem with.

Personally, I do not agree with most radical plans, no matter who is proposing them. What happened to taking care of Americans?

I'm not hating on any individual but fix the house you live in, then try and help fix other houses.

Where in the heck is the common sense ?

these are people in positions of power. The Washington swamp is full of some of the worst people in society. They aren't much better than your everyday criminal on the street.

Just look at this awful person in the pink suit. What a disgrace to civil servants.

How on Earth are sanctuary cities allowed to even exist in the country? What these dems are doing is criminal and what the Biden administration did allowing 15-20 million people to enter the county illegally is unforgivable.

One of my criticisms of Trump so far, and there aren't many, is that he hasn't deported enough people thus far.

Indeed, between 2021 and 2025, in one of the most bizarre episodes in US immigration history, the border simply disappeared. There were to be no background checks, no health audits and no identification of the greatest influx in any four-year period in US history.

No one knew why. All had their explanations. Puzzling boondoggle

Was the Biden handlers’ plan for more poor to grow the welfare state and expand liberal government?

Was it misplaced idealism to welcome in millions of the world’s poorest, who would soon make it even more difficult for the nation’s poor citizens to find affordable housing and health care?

Was the agenda to create future dependencies and constituencies for an otherwise ossified Democratic Party?

Or was it an effort to ensure, in DEI terms, that the oppressed and victimized would outgrow the inert white oppressors and victimizers?

Oddest of all has been the attitude of the left toward the past destruction of the border. They went mum about the rampant illegality as the border disappeared and as millions filtered throughout the nation. Americans had no idea who the newcomers were, or even where or why they were here.

Given that it is much easier to destroy the border and allow millions to enter than to restore it and find the millions who entered illegally, the Democrats’ response has been Orwellian. After assuming the law did not apply to illegal alien entrants, they now insist its full force must apply to each of 10 million aliens before they can be sent home.

There were no protests when an errant Biden ICE became dysfunctional due to massive illegality. But there is now outrage when it attempts to restore legality and follow the law.

Every presidential election, the swamp gives the democrats 26 electoral votes. The swamp overwhelmingly supports the democrats, isn't that a good reason to be against them?

I do NOT defend the Democratic party. Not at all. I have no idea where you could have thought that.

    Let's address your DC question:

This is not how life is in Wash. DC. It's like every other state, there are areas of pure democrat and there are areas of mix and still, other areas where more republican's lived than democrats . North West Washington DC. is not the democratic area people are led to think it is.
I grew up with no black friends. Zero. All my classes were white only. Finally had 3 black kids in my 7th grade when forced busing took effect in public schools.
Racism was alive and well especially in the late 60's when MLK was shot. Three quarters of the city hated the other quarter simply because of their skin color. And yes, the same was true about us hating them, mainly because we knew they hated us and we were taught by our elders that racism was a real thing .It is what we were exposed to back then.

It was about as bad as it could be in the late 60's . 7th street NW was on fire. The blacks stormed Glen Echo park which was all white only. Black people were not allowed in. It was heavily damaged and never reopened.

Long story hopefully short, when we were about 15, our old sports coach retired and we got a new one. He was black. And he was about the coolest person we had met. He was great! He taught not too much about sports, but a whole lot about life, and racism. We had good teams. Usually we represented the NW portion in the finals or semis of all three sports.

When it came to playing the black guys from North East, South West or South East, we played away games. Not sure why but in hindsight it was probably because they were not welcome at out fields. Our black coach for all three sports led us to the hood and we typically got beat. And of course there was talking going on so the N word or go F--- Yourself was usually dropped at some point. But over 2-3 years, it taught me that those black guys were good dudes. I got to know a few of them. All of the racist bull crap that we were fed was not true.
I attended a high school that was private and downtown by the Capital. So yeah, the hood. By the time I left, I had realized that all this black /white BS was exactly that. Some black people really suck. But just as many white people suck just as bad or worse. It's all bullshit. But until you find out for yourself, you can only believe what you are told.

Went to work at the racetrack, the rest is in my thread in the horse racing section, but without question, some of the kindest, wisest, and honest people I met when I worked there were black, mostly much older than me. Almost all were men.

I owe all of them and some in particular more than I could ever pay back for what they taught me about horses, life, but more importantly, about THEM.

So , this "DC is democratic" is pretty much like everywhere else Josh. There are more democrats than republicans but nothing, certainly not Wash. D.C. is all one thing.

I suggest not listening to anyone with an agenda when it comes to politics, racisms, religion, you name it. All they talk about is
Making you afraid of it, and telling you whose to blame for it.
We all have to see through that and realize that we need to stop being brainwashed and start thinking for ourselves. When I figured that out, me personally, my life became wonderful. I feel lucky for everyday I'm here. And especially lucky that I was able to meet another race at a young age, and realize that disliking someone for the color of their skin is a fools errand.
    Good Luck.

Americans save over 4 billion dollars a year when gas drops 3 cents at the pump. That's a lot of french fries and chicken McNuggets.

The America public has been sold out by the Washington swamp for a long time now. They have made a fortune for themselves and their friends off the backs of middle class. Its turned into a scam which has attracted the biggest dirtbags in America. They opt out of the healthcare plan they designed for the rest of you while telling you how great it is. They give themselves raises all the time. They get paid even while they shut down the government. They have security and get thousands for they home security. They have convinced Americans that losing is ok and incompetence should be rewarded. The republicans are far from perfect, but the democrats are the enemy. They have nothing but hate, lies and race baiting in their arsenal. Their favorable rating is something like 18% which is amazing that its that high.

So you would rather pay more for gas?

You can spin shit all ya want but Trump has taken the bull by the horns and is working his ass off for the country. He's hired great people to his cabinet.

Obama divided the country like no other president, he smoked Newports, told everyone there's no magic wand, passed a disastrous healthcare plan, spied on the Trump campaign, and lied to the public saying Trump colluded with Russia after his own FBI said told him he never did. You didn't build that! LOL.

Biden was a complete embarrassment. He did nothing except sleep, wondered off constantly, fell down and up, shook hands with people who weren't there, and weaponized the justice system against Trump. Banana republic shit from the worst president and administration in US history.

Trump has stopped illegal immigration, he's getting rid of people who are in the country illegally, trillions in new investments to the US, no tax on tips, no tax on OT. Wages are increasing. Streets are safer, criminals are being rounded up, millions of illegals self-deported. There are too many to list but he's done more in the first 10 months than Obama and Biden could do in 100 presidencies. Its simply amazing. America is respected again.

Don't forget that the dems couldn't even stand and applaud for kid with brain cancer during the SOTU. Remember the moron with the cane? The dem party are infested with the dumbest people in Washington. They call their own ICE agents 'gestapos'. Sanctuary cities? How could that be a thing even? AOC, Crocket, Omar, Talib, Lieu, Schumer and the guy who asked a US General if Guam could sink if too many military personnel landed. Oh and that moron who actually flew to El Salvador to try a bring back to the US a known gang member and human traficker. LOL. They allowed men into the women's sports, bathrooms and walking around with their cokks hanging out in women's locker rooms. They even have a mentally ill dude in congress right now, who dresses up as a woman and pretends he is a woman.

The dems have no plan except lie about Trump and use the race card at every turn. That's it. They shut down the government because the wanted hundreds of billions for healthcare for illegal aliens. They will even convince some people to still vote for them. Any don't forget, the dems all voted against tax cuts.

With the 2025 extension, the average household saves ~$2,900 annually. Suddenly paying less taxes is a bad thing just as paying a less for gas it apparently.

No, both parties are not the same. You could make that argument in years past and I would agree with you, but not anymore. Not under Trump. He continues to show how incompetent politicians are and how corrupt the MSM are. Its no secret why they hate him and lie about him so much.

Time to wake up and admit the swamp is real. You don't sit back and watch tens of thousands of factories close, send billions to other countries for stupid shit, start endless wars and get 38 trillion in debt if you were competent.

You : Str, I admire the effort you make to be less controversial or appear independent. Just keep in mind it needs to be authentic.

Me: Oh Dwight, it is very authentic. I have run my own business (2 of them), since I was 21 years old. The last thing I would ever do is listen to someone who is paid to say what they say and that payoff drives their opinion. I left my first business at age 46 when rampant cheating and illegal maneuvers became accepted behavior. I don't steal, cheat or lie. That makes life perfect for me.

What I think needs to happen for something to be authentic is that we don't build up someone by saying that others were this or that. I have always felt each persons track record reflects who that person is. The things someone does, says who that person is or who you are. The way someone thinks does as well.

What I see you wrote, tells me there must not be a whole lot of good to say about someone when his best accolades are what someone else did or did not do.

You: Americans save over 4 billion dollars a year when gas drops 3 cents at the pump. That's a lot of french fries and chicken McNuggets.

Me: Indeed it is. Like I said, 5 bucks gets them a 20 piece and a fry once a YEAR. That feeds roughly 2 of the people in the family. Hope the rest are OK. No drink though, let's not go crazy .

You: The America public has been sold out by the Washington swamp for a long time now. They have made a fortune for themselves and their friends off the backs of middle class. Its turned into a scam which has attracted the biggest dirtbags in America.

Me: Absolutely ! I've lived in Wash. DC my entire life. I know exactly what the swamp is and most importantly, WHO is in it.

Me: Disagree. There are plenty of extremely decent people on both sides. They aren't THE enemy. They are your enemy or a anyone's who choose to be told what and how to think, and perceive, of what is there for all to judge.

There is a house member who I grew up with. He is a little older than me. Lived a block away. He was always a great guy IMO. Don't agree with everything he says but who does right? The last thing I would call him is an enemy.

Your next two paragraphs are simply a rant , brought to you by, the Republican party. Other than responding with " Naw Ahh " I have no intertest in that stuff. It might give you or someone else the thought that I am therefore, a Democrat. I am not !
    That's a game I never play.

You: With the 2025 extension, the average household saves ~$2,900 annually. Suddenly paying less taxes is a bad thing just as paying a less for gas it apparently.

Me: The average household doesn't SAVE money because prices did not go higher. They just were not forced to spend more. Like I said, at Mickey D's they got some nuggs and a fry. No drink but hey, shut up and eat.

You: No, both parties are not the same. You could make that argument in years past and I would agree with you, but not anymore. Not under Trump. He continues to show how incompetent politicians are and how corrupt the MSM are. Its no secret why they hate him and lie about him so much.

Me: I meant the same level of BS. Maybe file it under, "there is more than one way to skin a cat." And their level of hate is no greater than the level of hate that the R's have towards the other party. You know that man. It's the continual smoke and mirror game that has been played for centuries.

You: Time to wake up and admit the swamp is real. You don't sit back and watch tens of thousands of factories close, send billions to other countries for stupid shit, start endless wars and get 38 trillion in debt if you were competent.

Me: Because this discussion/ political argument has gone back and forth with no end in sight, I suggest you argue with AI about this.

    Here is AI's response.

    Partisan Contributions
While both parties share responsibility, each often emphasizes the other's role:
    • Republicans often point to increased government spending by Democrats. However, Republican-backed tax cuts, such as the 2017 Tax Cuts and Jobs Act, have also significantly contributed to the debt by reducing federal revenue.
    • Democrats frequently criticize Republican tax cuts and defense spending. They argue that while spending increases contribute to debt, tax cuts are a major driver of the increasing debt-to-GDP ratio.
Ultimately, the national debt is the result of accumulated decisions made by many different administrations and Congresses over time, reflecting a broad societal demand for both lower taxes and substantial government benefits and services.

Lastly, and on a much more interesting subject IMO, the Dolphins have had a tough year but for me, I do think their head coach is a lot better than the bashing he has taken by the media. I like him, a lot. He is smart and although there were rumors he lost the clubhouse for a while, he has it back, if indeed he ever lost it, and has had it back for several weeks. I feel sometimes people show their best attributes when they are down, not on top of the world. I think he is a helluva good coach. I hope the Dolphins keep him. But if not, someone else will and I expect he will shine bright in do time.

I experienced something like that in a much smaller scale when I was in the world of sports and am much more proud of things I did when it was bad as compared to when it was great. The song New Kid In Town by the Eagles came out in 1976, the same year I started my first company. I WAS that new kid in town, just like I was the guy towards the end of the song when the next new kid in town arrived.

Never really knew what it all meant until my song was over. Bob Dylan called it maybe the greatest song ever written. I would agree.

I'm going to hop off the political thread again for a while. A little goes a long way with me.

GL Dwight. Go Fins ! Go Mike McDaniel !

P.S. Anyone that has not seen that movie, American President, if they have two hours , should try and watch it. It says a lot more about Washington DC, Capitol Hill, and the White House than it seems, if you just take it in at face value, not with a predetermined opinion.
