Well you had a much harder round 1 than me, John. It's no shame at all to go 1-1 vs mario!

And yeah, it hasn't really shown up in my results because my opponents haven't fully capitalized, but I definitely have noticed myself making mistakes that players like you could take advantage of -- maybe a bit of a hangover from the previous tournament. Also I'm currently in a ladder game vs REMO where I'm pretty sure he outplayed the shit out of me early, but I think I'm recovering in the mid-game

Trying to renew my focus a bit, and hopefully we'll meet in the finals

I'm not sure when I'm going to organize the next Tournament. I'm about to renew my SBRPro status and I'm going to be low on points afterward... lol.

And I'll take myself out of the running for points from now on if that helps at all. I'm pretty much a Hexversi vet at this point, I don't really want to take any more points that other players could have a shot at. I just play the tournaments because it's fun competition

You've also been super generous with points to begin with, nobody will revolt if you scale it back a bit

Another Open Fast starts on August 8th, but I've got some things going on so I might wait until the next Open Fast which should start on August 22nd. If you guys don't mind waiting, or else I can do the August 8th tourney. Let me know!

Yeah, I even tried the Sept 12th tournament but it didn't get the minimum of 10 to sign up. Turns out John was the only one keeping these tournaments going!

lol... I mostly sent out a stock message to everyone in the Hexversi Ladder, and other players that have played in past tournaments, letting them know I was organizing a tournament.

I may not organize another one for a while because I think I'm going to be pretty busy for at least the next few months. However, if you guys are interested in playing in one, I recommend sending out a cut and pasted message. You should be able to get plenty of players.

Thanks for the idea. I certainly don't have the same level of clout as you, but I may give recruitment a try. Gotta scratch that competitive itch. I think I'm on good or decent terms with most of the ladder players.

So... I actually won it for SBR!!

Took forever because shimgar and myself tied 1-1 twice in the "finals", but the third time I finally beat him! I could barely believe it

And I know probably none of the Hexversi gang are around anymore but wanted to share my hard earned victory somewhere. Maybe somebody will see it someday
