I was going to Vegas every year when I was married to my first wife and I NEVER lost any of the years. She NEVER gambled either and then I ended up with a woman who is a total opposite and loves gambling more than me. It's really too bad that she cannot win. Me and my current wife have the same opportunity to gamble and she cannot win what-so-ever but I can at least win enough to cover all costs. Not to brag, but I made my mom Diamond Plus in just two day's worth of play without losing so my parents could eat free everyday when the Laurel lounge was open everyday before the Pandemic. Anyone who plays in the CET casinos would know how difficult it is to achieve Diamond Plus playing table games. Slots I think it's easy but it's a guaranteed loss and a big one at that.
So, it just happened that in the last 2 years, we ended up staying all the time as it made more sense financially, so if the kids were okay with it then it was a done deal as I wasn't losing my socks off.
You have to remember that my kids were coming to AC every weekend ever since they were born and therefore staying in the casino hotels was a second nature to them. It was like our second home in a way.
I don't know if my kids would want to stay in the hotels out of nowhere for so long if they weren't already doing it every weekend for all their lives. My guess would be no.Comment -

#178We get connecting rooms. My kids are in one and we are in ours with a door in-between the rooms. I don't like paying the additional $7.54 per night which used to be only $5.27, but what else can I do? We don't do this everyday as it gets to be wasted money.
When we were in Vegas and Laughlin last August, we didn't need two rooms because we always had suites with a separate bed room. That's because my wife is the biggest loser.
I will post her comped room offers from MGM in Vegas shortly.Comment -

I don't get any of the Vegas offers she gets. She lost pretty bad last August at a lot of the MGM properties.
We could stay in Vegas for a whole month with all free hotels, but we decided it wasn't worth it because of airfare going up and a rental car is just ridiculous.

#180^^^Kids suck, they cost too much money, most have issues and are spoiled brats as they grow up these days, break shit and are a handful to take care of. I'm so glad I never had kids and always pulled out.
They are cute and fun for short visits as threw an Uncle's (that's me) point of view though!
I will be honest that me and my wife always talk about how lucky we are because our kids are so easy to raise as they never caused any problems. We were lucky that we had them very close in age as they can do things together all the time because of the narrow age gap. They fight once in a while but all about something very minor and silly things. They get over it right away and they are back to giggling, laughing, and playing together.
I know some siblings just don't get along and they are like cats and dogs, but not with our kids.
One reason is because my wife is the easiest going person and our older one is just like her mom.
Our 2nd one on the other hand is very competitive and never likes to lose which causes problem at times, but she is over it fast and back to goofing around and playing with her sister.Comment -

#181I'll tell you another thing about kids these days - they don't want to work, lazy little fockers with entitlement issues, they ruin their necks attached to their cell phones looking down all day and get curvature of the spine, they never leave the house and play video games all day long also. Worthless.
Then the stupid parents with money then send them off to college and pay a $100,000 a year and when they come back home to live rent free they are woke.

#182This is a win win. You do know a lot of these guys that are answering still live with their moms or in a tailor park and would never even think of doing something like this. Sounds like you have it handled. Winter may get a little boring but it is boring at any other cold weather place.

You do know that I was kidding, right?
She doesn't go to SBR as she knows nothing about it.
She was just looking over my should to see what I was doing and I had to close the browser.
Of course I don't let her look at what I'm looking at that aren't good for the kids.
Only sites my kids go to are YouTube, ROBLOX, Fortnite, and Minecraft. No social media craps like Twitter or Tik Tok.
Since they had so much fun playing with their cousins, I asked them if they had some online friends that they would like to invite and they knew 3 siblings whom my kids are very close friends with.
So, I told my girls to ask the siblings if they would like to come visit us sometime as they are in Toronto and I could get them a free room, and their mother said that they would like to so I guess we will find out if they do end up visiting except summer is already over and school starts soon.
It's too bad that we didn't plan this sooner as there is one of the greatest air shows in AC next week and they would have enjoyed it a lot. Hard Rock was charging $999 per night for those two dates (practice date and live date), but they just opened them up as comps for me. The rest of the week is comped from Sunday to Thursday, so they could have stayed for 5 nights at least and it would have been perfect as their school doesn't start until 09/01.Comment -

If I'm still here when you decide to visit, then I will be glad to get you a room somewhere. I don't know how many days you are looking for, but I would say you need at least 2 nights, but more like 3 or even 4 (4 could be too long if you gamble and end up being down but it all depends on how good a casino gambler you are).
I don't know if I would still be getting the weekends as Bally's changed their rating system drastically, so I don't know how much I have to play there to get the weekend rooms back from them. Weekdays are never a problem from Sunday to Thursday. The only cost to you is $7.54 per night, but honestly I'm not worried about that.
Just let me know soon if you are interested as I usually book my rooms months in advance as the rates change constantly.
I'm fully booked until the end of October and I will be booking November dates soon as they are opening up already.
Where would you be coming from? I think I saw Australia somewhere before. If that's the case, then the flight cost must be pretty high.Comment -

#185I'm from Chicago but I've been living in Louisiana for some time. I play in Biloxi mostly at the Beau Rivage. I have no strategy (and no bankroll management) but my style of play is never go against a run or chop and always be friendly to the dealer and other people/let them cut the shoe or drive in midi bac. I also don't play every hand and if I'm not sure what to do I will play both dragons with a small tie bet to insure the dragons. My weakness is I don't give up so I will lose everything chasing losses and since I'm in debt thousands of dollars in life (see some of my other posts on this site) I will rarely quit because I need more...so I end up losing no matter what
Oh and thanks to the padres for killing last leg of my ticket. My luck is brutal.
After having read that Australian's thread, it opened up my eyes and what he is preaching made perfect sense.
Just one question for you, do you know how to read the derived boards, i.e. the 3 bottom most roads called Big Eye Boy, Small Road, and Cockroach Pig?
Hopefully, you already know about the derived roads, but if you don't then you are missing out huge.Comment -

I never said anything about what I do daily except giving my kids their meals. I never said when I gamble and how long I gamble, but I did say I worked.
I don't think I said what I do on Monday, except on weekends it's so busy I don't play.
Not sure, if that's a day to day basis.

#197Blackjack was my main game and the only game for probably 30 years and I fared pretty decent. I would have winning sessions of over 10K more than 5 times a year with the maximum being 17K in only one session on one year, but for some reason I kept on digressing and deviating from the plan so I couldn't maintain the wins. Without a doubt, I didn't have the discipline to become a pro, so I remained as a recreational player only. I wasn't even counting then, so I cannot even imagine what the winnings would have been if I did.
When I learned about the MIT blackjack team winning so much initially, I wanted to learn card counting, but they all went broke eventually and lost a TON and that got me discouraged and I stopped looking into it and that was a mistake.
Then, I learned about an AP from AC who went to Vegas because he was practically getting banned in AC casinos. He had many consecutive years of non-losing streaks. So, I wanted to meet him and learn, but he just disappeared and there were some crazy posts about him.
What I didn't understand at the time was that he sounded totally legit and yet everyone is calling him a liar, fake, and wherever. There was even a story about him faking his death. What's up with that??? I have no clue what that was about back then, but listening to his concerns of being an AP just in the last couple of days I totally understand where he is coming from.
It took many years to run into him again on another forum and he now has 18 years of winning streak, and he said he is coming to PA next month near where I live, so I wanted to meet him by offering a room and free meals in AC just so I can watch him play as it would be the first time ever that I would get to watch an AP play but he declined.
So, that's that and I will have to learn card counting on my own. I wanted to know if he had anything special that's his own besides the basic card counting, but I won't get to find out. He says card counting isn't too hard to learn, so we will see. Practice makes perfect, so I will start with that first but I wish I was a lot younger so my brain can handle the load.
If your serious about winning this is the only way. You can spend 1000 hours online u wont find anything better.
Try to find ken ustons Million dollar blackjack... or search up APC 3+ .
If you cant find it dm me. I can send u some more info about the system and situational strategies based on count.
First and foremost you want to learn the count and be able to count down a deck in less then 60 seconds.
Speed is good but accuracy is more critical.Comment -

#199I never thought of that as I always had at least one, two, or even three for all weekends in the past as I played everywhere.
If I don't get the weekends anymore, my initial thought is that I would stay home since the cost of driving back and forth adds $360 a month to my cost which I would have to play more to make up.
With the current setup, I'm actually ahead dollar-wise each month even before I play if that makes any sense to you. So, I don't need to play to win. I just need to play just enough to keep the comped rooms on weekends which so far hasn't been too bad.
Now that the pandemic has slowed down quite a bit, it's really crazy how crowded it is on weekends. It may be because it's still summer though.
It's possible that I lose the weekend comped rooms and if it happens then I'm not going to go crazy playing big just to get the rooms back. It's already happening as Bally's has gotten very cheap and removing the weekends; although it could be because it's summer. When they don't see players in their casino when summer is over, they could loosen up their weekend comped rooms.
Borgata has cut me off for Saturday's but I already booked them into October, so I won't have to play there probably until mid-October to get Saturday's back. The way I do it, as soon as the comped rooms open up I book as many as I can into the future. Once they are booked, they cannot cancel them whether I play there or not. I have been either busy or lazy to play in the past month or two, so I haven't played that much at all in any of the casinos and I expect them to start cutting me off of the comped rooms. Then, I will probably start playing more and hope that I can keep up the winnings.
I had fun for a long time and going back home is not a big deal for me or my kids.
No question that my wife misses us when she has to go home to work, so she probably wants us home if anything but she also likes getting money to spend whenever she comes to AC too.Last edited by DJK; 08-20-22, 02:36 PM.Comment -

#202Co-sign with biggie. Never wanted kids and had one young actually and it’s corny as shit and cliche as hell but I’d not trade it for the world. Aside from all the love and instincts you tap into that you never knew you had, you learn a lot about yourself through raising a child. Which is why I think honestly if I raised a child in a casino hotel for a couple of years like this dude, I mean there are way worse environments for a child to grow up in. If you love your kids and have a good relationship with them, that’s more important than anything else. This guy being so defensive leads me to believe there’s more here than he’s telling us but at this point I don’t care anymoreComment -

I would agree with you about keeping it simple, but if you are not using the bottom three derived roads to follow any developing trends, then you are leaving free money on the tables. Given, it's not too often that you see long trends, i.e. 10 or more in a rows, but if you catch them it's all free money so it takes patience but it's no problem for me since I'm here all the time.
You must already follow the trends on Main Road, so why not do the same with the other roads?
It seems that a lot of people if not the majority does not understand that a trend on any of the derived roads does NOT correlate to what's going on the Main Road. I didn't know that and therefore never knew how to use the derived roads until recently.
It's nothing more than using the forecast board to make your bet once a trend develops in any of the derived roads.
That's where I made my 3K+ in a very short time using the derived roads. Wins were so easy that I never had it better in all my life of casino gambling.
It all started with 1-2 chop on Small Road (solid circles or hamburgers as those Vietnamese players would call them). You see in the picture below where 1 Red, 2 Blue, 1 Red, 2 Blue, etc, was running. That shit went on for 8 in a row, so that's 8 x 3 for 24 in a row trend, but I would have to wait and see it develop, so let's say 6 x 3 for 18 in a row consecutive wins without thinking anything since I would have to see the first 2 sets happen at least. I didn't see it until 4 sets already occurred, so I wasn't following it until the 5th set but that still netted me 12 consecutive wins in a row as 4 x 3 = 12. For whatever the reason I stopped instead of following the trend until it breaks which is what I was supposed to do and the pattern did break and saved myself from losing $100 as it was a $100 minimum table.
I was alone at the table, so it took me no more than a few minutes to win 1K+ before I stopped.
The Main Road was rather chaotic, so I would most likely have lost if I was looking for something on that board only. However, you can see a long dragon tail on Cockroach Pig and following that would have netted some pretty pennies too when there is absolutely nothing going on on the Main Road.
Let me know if you have questions and I can expand on that. Many of the long time baccarat players think that I'm nuts trying to follow the trends so you decide for yourself.

It's like this.
We are in a very nice hotel rooms and these rooms aren't small. They are probably bigger than a studio apartment or a room rented by some people in Japan or for that matter in many of the Asian countries. It just happens that there is a casino attached to it.
But casino has nothing to do with the kids as they aren't in it gambling nor do they walk around in it without a reason, i.e. unless we have to go to a restaurant that's on the casino floor and we don't have a choice but to go through the casino floor. Borgata is like that with their Asian restaurant which by the way is one of the best if not the best anywhere in AC. Anyone who ever stayed at Borgata would know that and that the kids are allowed to walk through the casino floor for that reason being one. How else are you going to get to the restaurant? Hard Rock was the only casino that used to have a strict policy that no kids are allowed to walk through the casino floor and the security guards would freak out when they see kids wondering, but they abandoned that policy and now you see kids walking through the casino floor all the time.
If I was to live in a very small studio apartment because I'm barely making a living and that's all I could afford, then how is it any different than staying in a hotel room vs a tiny apartment? The bathroom is bigger and beds are very comfortable in my hotel rooms with pretty big tv's. I have a refrigerator and a hair dryer. The views are just a bonus. What else do I need if I was living in an apartment? Not much more.
For a tiny studio apartment, I will pay at least 1K or more in my home town area and I will have to pay all utilities, cable, etc, which will add another $300 at least or more per month. It's costing me only $233 a month for the hotel rooms and everything else is free as long as I don't lose in the casinos.
It's pretty simple math really.Comment -

I've repeated more than once that they go swimming, walk on the boardwalk, go to beach any time they want, but they all somehow went right over your head?
My older girl does spend quite a bit of time on her laptop and I always wondered how she doesn't get bored of what she is doing.
My younger girl spends not even 1/3 of the time my older girl spends her time on the computer as she reads books, trying to learn what I'm doing like programming, and whatever.
The only thing that's missing is interaction with the other kids, but when I asked my kids they tell me they aren't really interested because they didn't have good friends while they were attending brick and mortar. They seem to have made better friends on-line and I've offered to meet up but for some reason they are all from Canada and no one from locally.
Me and my wife always ask our kids if they want to do sports like soccer, softball, gymnastics, or karate and they are not interested. I could force them to do it, but I don't like the idea.
My wife forced them to take piano lessons and they didn't mind it but they don't want to do it anymore.
I don't know what's up with some of the parents who go nuts getting their kids to participate in everything that they could think of. My wife's sister is exactly like that and she is busy like hell driving her 3 kids to all sorts of activities. They came to visit a month ago. Did I see anything different from them that I didn't see from my kids? NONE
Would it translate to something not good in the future years? I have no clue. Maybe or maybe not.Last edited by DJK; 08-20-22, 04:28 PM.Comment -

You realize every single hand of baccarat has no correlation to any previous hands right?
btw when i mean charting its the same as looking at the board you posted.
How u gonna beat a game with a 1.06% casino edge by looking at past results of something that has no influence on the next hand dealt.....Last edited by biggie12; 08-20-22, 04:47 PM.Comment
